<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">SAN ANTONIO — Grant Hill has decided he's going to play somewhere next season and there's a possibility the Detroit Pistons, his original team with whom he had his best years, might be the destination. Hill, who's a free agent after spending six mostly injury-plagued seasons with the Orlando Magic, was vacationing in the Caribbean during much of the Eastern Conference finals when the Pistons were upset by the Cleveland Cavaliers. "I only got the one game, Game 5 and the last quarter when LeBron (James) went off in the last quarter and two overtimes," Hill says. "I kind of read about what happened but I didn't see it, except for that one game. That one game looked bad just because LeBron went crazy (scoring 48 points, including 25 in a row and 28 of the Cavs' last 29) "But (Pistons president of basketball operations) Joe Dumars is a smart guy. He's had a lot of success and he's motivated to continue to win, so he'll figure something out." Hill, working the NBA Finals as an analyst for ABC, was a perennial All-Star in six seasons with the Pistons. The Magic were knocked out in the first round of this year's playoffs by his former team. The trip to the playoffs was Hill's first since leaving Detroit in a sign-and-trade deal in 2000. His career was sidetracked by an ankle injury that required multiple surgeries. With his ankle now stabilized, the 12-year veteran says he hasn't closed the door on a return to the Magic but is listening to all offers. Could a return to Detroit be in his future? "I'm keeping myself open," Hill says. "I'm going to see what Orlando's doing but if people come knocking, I'm going to listen. I'm still trying to figure it all out."</div> Source
^My thoughts exactly. Screw him if he goes to Detroit. After all the things this town had to go through. Especially when looking back at the bust of a trade that went down. We lost what could have been a DPoY in B. Wallace.
I really hope he re-signs with Orlando but I honestly can't blame him for not coming back, he only has mabe a couple more years left to win a championship and lets be honest Orlando is at best a few years away from winning one. You guys are acting like he screwed Orlando but really it is the total opposite he could have just retired and collected a check but this guy almost died trying to get back on the court. no matter what happens this guy deserves to win a title and I really hopes that it happens for him weather its with Orlando or not (preferably with though)

He's the reason we were mediocre. Couldn't accept a damn buyout. Now he needs to do the right thing.

You guys act like it's his fault he hurt his ankle it's just bad luck when he was a free agent every team in the league wanted him. This guy was supposed to be the next MJ it's really unforunate what happend to him, he's really one of the few "good guys" left in basketball and any sport for that matter.
He owes the team and this city the playing time that we all deserve. He signed him to lead this team and McGrady was supposed to be a backup. He owes us at least a few more years because we have wasted money and time for him to keep coming back from his many injuries.
He would have gotton paid even if he did retire. I guess in a way you could say he owes the pistons too, they invested millions in this guy too just for him to walk. I think the only person he really owe's is himself after all of the surgeries and being really close to death at one time trying to get back on the court..............I guess it's just me but I think he atleast owes himself a shot at a title while he still can play. I don't even know how many Magic fans in this forum wanted Grant Hill to just dissappear I've heard things like "Grant Hill is Garbage" I've heard people say they wish he just retired (yes even by some of you guys) Now because you think there is a possibility of getting him cheap now you guys want him. You guys act like he should show Orlando some sort of loyalty but alot of the fans (not all) haven't been very loyal to him since he's been here. I will support Grant where ever he goes and I wish he wins his title whether it's with Orlando or without (hopefully with)
