We've all been saying how badly we need a backup point guard and I was wondering what you guys think of Duhon? He has been playing behind Kirk Hinrich in Chicago and seems to be a great player off of the bench. There have been some rumors that he'll be shopped this summer so do you guys think we should go after him? I like that he can be great off the bench but can still be a starter if we need him too. If Jameer has another poor season, we could make Duhon the starter. He is still very young and would be entering his prime around the same time as our other young players.
Good call Swish. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Jun 9 - League sources say GM John Paxson is active in potential trade scenarios, with guard Chris Duhon the most likely Bull to be shopped. But I wouldnt give up on Jameer quite yet.
What exactly do the Magic plan to offer for Duhon? (if they choose to pursue that option) The Bulls would only part with Duhon in an attempt to get a front court player, outside of Darko/Howard the Magic don't have much to offer (and I doubt they would trade either of those for Duhon).
Didn't Orlando try to sign him a couple years ago? anyways I think he would be a really good fit here I mean he is undersized but he's a really good defender and he has improved his shooting alot since he's been in the league.

Instant yes! <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Gators:</div><div class="quote_post">I wouldn't mind a guy like Duhon, but I personally would rather have Steve Blake.</div> I'd love to have Steve Blake, but then again, every other team does too.
Steve Blake is GARBAGE!! Repeat it with me guys, GARBAGE. He sucks. Duhon is a better option but there's no way to get him. I think we could trade someone like Dooling for him and Augustine/Garrity 2nd round pick.

We don't need our PG to be a scorer, we need our PG to be able to run the offense and put the ball into the hands of guys that can score. Blake is much better than Jameer at that at this stage of their careers.
<div class="quote_poster">CLos Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I don't care if he's a scorer. He isn't good I've seen him play plenty of times.</div> So do you think Arroyo/Dooling/Diener are better than him?
To be honest I haven't seen much of Blake or Duhon in action. It seems to me though that Blake is the better man for our team. We don't need a scoring PG, we need someone who can distribute the ball among his teammates, and can knock down the shot if needed. Which I believe Steve Blake has shown he can do. I wouldn't be disappointed with Duhon though.
Duhan has been consistant since he's been in the league (wasn't a great shooter at first but he has really developed that the last couple of years) Blake had half of a good season in a contract year playing with Iverson and melo personally I think his stats are a little inflated. but thats just me
