Now that the Falcons have seen that Norwood is for real, I wonder if the price for TJ Duckett will be coming down? I wouldn't rule out the Steelers taking another shot at him this preseason. I know they were anxious to get him on draft day and he is the absolute perfect fit for the team. I dont think there is a more talented back in the league that fits so well the Cowher gameday plan. Don't get me wrong, I think Staley is going to have a good year if he can stay healthy......but watching Duckett run over patriots, I couldn't help but imagine how he would look in Black and Gold..

I think Duce Staley is highly overrated. He's only had three 1,000 yard seasons in 10 years and has never broken the 1,300 yard mark. He's only managed to stay healthy for 16 games twice. The Steelers need to take a shot at Duckett.

I wouldnt say Staley is overrated, I dont hear anyone calling for him to get 1500 yards a season. His role for this team will be as a change of pace and to take a good chunk of the carries away from Parker, especially late in the game. The thing about Duckett is that he is a back that can run into the pile and move it three yards. That is exactly what Bettis was and that is exactly what Bill Cowher likes to do late in the game with a lead. Staley is a talented back when healthy, I just think that Duckett fits the Cowher mold perfectly.

That is a mighty big IF which I doubt. Recent history indisputably favor's my hypothesis.

when you look at Staley's history, his injuries came a few games into a season when he was asked to be the featured back. he will not be asked to do that for the Steelers. He will come in and take a portion of the carries behind Parker. You are going to see a fresh, quick Staley with something to prove this year. Maybe you should analyze all of the factors before you make your next hypothesis.

Duckett would fit in pretty good with the Steelers, a Brusing back who has been pretty durable and hasn't really had to carry the entire load which makes him a pretty fresh back. He'd be a pretty good successor to the Bus.

I woulden't want the Packers to get ahold of him though unless it was for real cheap , one of the early reason Atlanta was wanting to get rid of him is because he doesn't fit there blocking scheme, the Zoneblocking scheme which is also currently being used by the Packers.
