Smith will be among the celebrities competing on the third season of ABC's "Dancing With the Stars."

    Rice finished second last season.

The new season of the show -- which pairs 11 competitors of sometimes dubious celebrity and varying skill with professional dancer-partners -- premieres Sept. 12 (8 p.m. ET), the network announced Monday.</div>

Wow! First it was Jerry Rice and now Emmitt Smith. I was pretty impressed with Rice and what he did on the show. Now I'm looking forward to see what Emmitt can do. I wonder what kind of footwork he has on the dancefloor instead of on the football field. I'm definetely watching.

I wonder how much they have to pay football players to get them to do something like that... It definately takes away from the "modern-day gladiator" image.
