I hate when people that dislike a certain musical genre decide to tear it down when ever they get the chance to do so

Well, all these top ten countdowns are doing rap a disservice.

It seems like Country is the least popular genre btw. People always say "I'll listen to everything except country." I've actually heard some decent country songs in the past (kind of sounds like pop/soft rock though).

yeah it's like all the reasons why my parents hated rap music are being justified with a lot of todays artists...

Today has SUCKED. Remember how I said I lost my graphing calculator a couple of weeks ago? Well, when my parents found out they were pissed. Today, they went out and bought me another graphing calculator, because they said I would need it for math next year. Anyways, the calculator I lost was $100, and the new calculator they bought me was a little less than $90. So now, they say I have to find some way to pay them back all $190, and until I pay them back $190, no birthday presents and no Christmas presents, no clothes and etc. And I'm basically broke, so I have no idea how I'm going to pay them back. WTF. They also got really pissed off for whatever reason and started yelling at me and crap, which I find to be pretty weird since they found out I lost the calculator weeks ago, and they had already yelled me and stuff, so I thought it would have been out of their system. But NO. They start yelling at me for a good 20 minutes. Then my dad sees me on the computer and he tells me that I have to get off and go read the calculator manual and get everything figured out, so I basically spent my whole day trying to figure out how to work a freaking calculator. Now I'm an expert! Wow! I feel so proud of myself [IMG]

For every one of him there's a Project Pat or a Mr. Sche though.

That whole retards attempting poetry thing, yeah, that's pretty old and cliche now.

I disagree, Smitty, sleep sucks. I used to love it, but lately I've been waking up feeling really hung over and depressed every morning. It takes two or three hours, a shower, and lots of caffeine to bring me to my senses nowadays.

I wish my bed had sheets, but I can't find any. I think I'm gonna steal some from a friend. He's got too many. The matress feels weird though. I need something covering it.

I just looked up the lyrics to Sippin' on some Syrup, and UGK says, "Hyper called on, on the hands-free phone." I don't know about you guys, but I've always heard "Hydro-cod-one," yano, it's a song about purple drank, and the good stuff has hydrocodone in it. I wonder if the record label made them change the lyric or something, because I coulda sworn he was saying "hydrocodone." I dunno.

Grant Theft Auto: San Andreas = Greatest game of all-time... I was waking up playing this game, and I just kept going on rampages killing everyone and then restarting the game.

WTF... since when did calculators become so expensive.

BTW, Friday was on tv last night, lol. I'm not usually into movies, but I've seen it like ten times and it never gets old.

Take responsibility of the situation and show your parents some maturity. Offer to help out with extra chores to earn money to repay them. If you're worried about someone jacking it again, give it to your teacher to hold for you or the school secretary. Tell them you've already had two stolen and you don't want to lose another one.

I have a graphing calculator too, you dont have to take it to school everyday. Just ask the teacher if you need it. I would take it the days we need it and just look at it every period or just leave it in your courtyard locker, don't leave it in your backpack. Are you taking Calculus?

I've got ESPN2 on in the background, and they're showing an MLS game between Los Angeles and Toronto, in Toronto. It's actually packed and looks pretty rowdy. Who knew the MLS brought out crowds, especially without Beckham in the equation for LA until next Thursday?

You know that Gilbert Arenas adidas commercial with the cheap cartoonish version of himself and his voice doing the narration? They've got one for Beckham now, same style. I thought that was interesting.

i guess since beckham arrived its popularity has risen greatly, despite the fact that he isnt even playing, haha. and as for the gilber-beckham commercial thing, they have a bunch of those with different athletes. its just an adidas endorsement i guess.

They're not as hot as they used to be down here now that they've sold out, but they still sort of put us on the map as a city.

Now it's all about Project Patta, Al Kapone, Mr. Sche, etc.

Three Six is in the same group as 8ball and MJG. They always rep. us as their hood, but they're not very true to their roots. My connection still hooks up 8ball, but he says the guy's never at home anymore, none of those guys are. They're all living in Hollywood mansions. Mr. Sche, on the other hand, I saw him at Platinum Plus the other night, lol. He's one rough looking motherf*cker.

I think one of the funniest (probably unintentionally) rap songs I've ever heard is Lil Flip's "This is the way we ball". I remember the first time I heard was back in like 2001 or 2002 and I used to think it was ridiculous then, and I still think it is ridiculous now, but I still love the song.

What's the bar called? Bars owned by West-Indian people don't really check ID's since they like jammin and getting drunk themselves. I remember I went to this pool hall near the airport strip club when I was 15 in Grade 10 (and I looked 15) and I didn't even get ID'd. Good stuff.
    </div>

Crabby Joe's; I'm not sure if it's owned by West Indian people but we weren't at the bar when we ordered the drinks, just on the patio. We went to the actual bar afterwards to order some more shots and ****, and they didn't check then either.

I'm taking Pre-Cal next year. Last year, I only took the graphing calculator to school for a couple of weeks because we were reviewing for the final exams, and somehow I lost it (or maybe it was stolen). Hopefully we won't need the calculators every single day of math, I don't want to take my chances anymore

I've never bought anything off eBay before but I'm sure someone here has.

How has your overall experience been. I heard people sometimes get damaged products?

My brother got his truck off of eBay.

Really doesn't help you, but it just sparked that in my mind.

Aren't there rating systems that rate the seller/buyer though? I remember someone posting that when I was thinking about buying an iPod online (I wound up getting one from Best Buy though).

I'm sitting on my porch atm. It's hot as hell out, but summer nights down south are beautiful. We're all just chillin, and I'm on my laptop as usual. I wish I had a digi camera, because this is the kind of view you want to share. The sun has pretty much set, but the sky still has a purplish, orangish glow.

About to do about a 180 from this scene though. In a few hours, I'm gonna log off and head down to my friend's house in the hood. It's funny watching all my white friends get nervous and put on a blaccent. They're so uncomfortable with the ghetto. One of my friends takes off all of his necklaces, earings, watches, etc. when he goes down there because he says it makes him look "like a target." [IMG]

Hey VC, whats going on with you and Tulane? Just one minute you're in Memphis, the next you're down at the School, I'm just confused, lol (especially since we dont have a college system like the US)

College doesn't start until August 23rd for me. It's August 5th now, so I've got 18 days.

I had headed down there earlier this summer to compete in tryouts for the last scholarship they had with a few nationally ranked recruits as well as a few international players and a few players transferring in like myself.

I had headed down there prior before that just to scope out the campus.

I don't know if I'll be on the team yet, but I know I won't be getting an athletic scholarship, because they took a guy named Jon Andersen ahead of me. He was in a similar situation to my own, being a few years older than most players in his eligibility class. He played last year at a Louisiana prep school but is originally from Lithuana (or is it Latvia? who knows...). Wherever he's from, he's on their junior national team. I will still be on the squad barring injury, arrest, the unforseen, that kinda thing, but I'd have to do it as a walk-on, which I'm almost 100% I will be able to do, because the coach said in the next three years at Tulane he can guarantee at least two on the team. It's just a longer process than most. He set me up with full tuition anyway. You're technically not supposed to do that, but I got in a loophole by getting a fully paid ride academically. They put me in the Honors College too, which will be great for getting a job later on when I'm done with basketball.

I'm nervous, but I'm also excited. Even if I don't make the team 'till next year, it's not the basketball I'm looking forward to so much as it is the college life. My time at Michigan was the best time of my life, and they say Tulane's a bigger party school (I can attest to that after a few weekends down there... some of the best looking girls of any school out there... hot weather 24/7... Mardi Gras... need I say more, lol...). Basically, it's be harder to not have fun in an environment like that.

If you buy something use Paypal to buy it. Paypal protect's you against any shady business on eBay. They'll refund you back your money right away if there's any problems.

eBay actually owns Paypal, so any issues are handled immediately.
