Canada's and America's voting systems are f***ed up. What's the point in voting when it'll essentially be "wasted" if you don't support one of the faceless, lying candidates that pander to the middle?

Yeah but if this idea was proposed just after the Virginia Tech massacre they wouldn't stand a chance. They'd have to just deal with whatever the government decided to do because the vast majority of people (who normally don't give a crap either way) would be gung ho for the idea. Now the thing has been forgotten so we're back into normal America mode and the companies that produce bullets and whatnot can defend themselves, once the next massacre rolls around the gun control issue will come up again.

While I'm sure the ammo companies would be against it they could still have deals where the bullets will be affordable in certain cases. i.e. bullets at Walmart or any other random store will be $1500+ a box but if you go to a shooting range, hunting reserve, etc. you can buy bullets from them for "normal price" and they can monitor the bullet purchase/possession just like they do the actual gun purchases. If the government monitors how much people buy cough medicine (and they do, I work at a Longs and we have to card people for cough syrup) you'd think they could/should do it for bullets as well.

Hopefully that would still allow the gun users to use as much bullets as they want on the shooting range or a designated hunting area but if they want bullets just to keep at their house it'll cost them a lot of money and they'll be registered into some sort of database and monitored. You shouldn't need more than 20 bullets at a time to protect your house. That way nutjobs (especially students) won't have easy access to hundreds/thousands of bullets and go on killing sprees.

My current eye doctor is undoubtedly the best doctor I've ever had in my life. She's pretty, and she just came out of University (can't be more than 26 I'd say), and most of all, her treatments work and she's patient as well as easy as hell to talk to.

This is kinda random (so I'm definetly in the right thread) but I remember when I was in grade 8, I went to this Indian place for a haircut. I remember the guy who was cutting my hair was talking on the phone and cutting my hair (one hand held the phone, the other held the trimmer) at the same time and completely ****** up my hair. I've never EVER gone to an Indian place since. European places are the best places to go.

This guy at my work (Lebanese dude) had never heard of Russell Peters before. My eyes literally bulged out of my head when I heard that lol. And Rusell's from Brampton too, which makes it even more wierd that he'd never heard of him, especially nowadays.

Kucinich seems really intriguing as well, I'll probably vote for him.

Richard Branson versus Stephen Colbert right now!

And on the topic of downloading music, I'm not gonna keep buying them if songs are gonna be skipping. That's BS man, I bought a Sublime CD a few weeks ago.. put it on my computer and all these songs are skipping. Not just that CD either.

<div class="quote_poster">MrJ Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I have a few friends with the Curve and they said it was treating them well. I don't know too much about the AT&T 8525, but it does have Wi-Fi so you can get online wherever there is a wireless connection. You can't do that with the Curve. I don't know what your budget is, but the Curve should be less expensive though.

I wouldn't get a sidekick. Personally, I think they look childish. I always associate it with high school. If I was at a job interview and needed to take out a number, I would feel a little embarrassed flipping the sidekick screen, lol. Some of my friends who have sidekicks are looking to switch and others love their sidekicks to death. I guess it's just different strokes for different strokes. They aren't my style though.</div>

Yeah I'm actually gonna go with the Curve. I've heard good things about it too so that's what I'm gonna go with.

I'm watching some sports center and one team blew out another 30-3. Wow.

I don't really follow baseball, but I don't remember the last time that happened.

Yeah, biggest win in 110 years it said on Yahoo! Sports.

thedude9990, im going for my licence next Thursday, I'm 20 and should've had it 3 years ago though, lol [IMG] I'm just slack. I'm not even gonna get a car once I get it anyway, much cheaper riding the bus, plus I kind of enjoy it (just chilling on the way to / from work, listening to my MP3 player, checking out the honeys on the bus, hahahaha)

Hopefully you smooth things out with your family and make them buy you a car. [IMG] [IMG]

Team USA is almost hard to watch IMO. I completely disagree with a lot of what Coach K is doing. With all due respect to Chauncey Billups, Deron Williams should run the point every minute that Kidd is out of the game. Billups style just looks awkward in an international game, he seems to be trying to slow it down more and his defense is mediocre at best. Kidd and Billups both suck against the zone, Kidd at least has the fast break offense, court vision, defense, rebounding, etc. to help out but you'd think they'd want Deron Williams handling the ball most of the time when Kidd is out.

And why the hell do we always need to play small? We have an AMAZING advantage in having Dwight Howard, Amare, Tyson Chandler while all the other teams have scrubs and we can't play any two of these guys together at the same time. Same thing pissed me off last year even more with Brand and Bosh never getting touches. Play the fucking big men together and GIVE THEM THE BALL. I feel like I'm watching a sh*tty version of the GS Warriors with Carmelo, LeBron, Kobe, Michael Redd, etc. just lobbing up 3's every possession.

They'd be much better off with Deron Williams running the show or with Chris Paul or Baron Davis there. Its pathetic to watch Kidd and Billups work against the zone defense and see them give the ball up and let LeBron, Melo, and Redd sh*t away every possession.

Everything just looks confused, backwards, discombobulated, and uncoordinated. They'd be much better off going with a more traditional team of Kidd/Kobe/Battier/Amare/Dwight with Deron, LeBron, Chandler off the bench. They just have way too many stars and guys who are just showing up, they need more guys who play to win, no matter what type of basketball game it is. Stephen Jackson would be PERFECT for this team IMO, hes a guy who's going to be intense, something this team sorely lacks, and hes got experience in a variety of systems and hes just a winner. Duncan and Popovic love him, he cant shoot, handle, pass, defend (very underrated defender), but that most important thing is the intensity, passion, etc.

I will be shocked, SHOCKED if they get gold this year.

Dude, I'm going to college on Friday, and I can't d/l music there, so I've been filling up my new iPod. I've got 6,000+ songs so far, and 3,500+ songs were downloaded 100% "illegally" off of limewire and only about 2,500+ bought so far. Why pay for music when you can use a p2p like that?

Run, Team U.S.A. may be having troubles, but we're not facing the rest of the world this time around. We're not even facing the best of the Americas really, when guys like Nash, Ginobili, and Nocioni are sitting it out. We'll have decent competition from maybe Argentina, Brazil, and Canada, but I doubt anyone comes close to knocking us off.

Playing another show this weekend. Can't wait. I'm going to attempt to sing a French tune. lol

On another note we had more bad storms here last night. The electricity went out around 10pm and we had to go to sleep in a humid pitch black house while horrid weather was going on outside. The weather has been very unstable the last couple of months.
