That makes no sense. 'Pac himself knew he was headed for death with the lifestyle he was living. Hiphop is what brought him to the limelight, yet it was a double edged sword because it got him into even more trouble. He chose the way that he lived, so why are you blaming a genre of music for his death? He chose to say all the **** he said, he chose to promote Thug Life, he chose to stomp out Orlando Anderson, he chose to scream "Westside"; his death has less to do with hiphop and more to do with his own mistakes.</div> He did those things, but thats just the type of outlandish personality he has. Well, I only said it (about his mom) because of the fact that she puts him together wiith artists that he didn't approve of when he was alive, and because she allows people to chop and connect his various verses as they please, to the point that he name drops people that he didn't even KNOW when he was alive. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Royce Da 5'9 biggest flaw is production, he raps over some of the most poorly produced **** I've ever heard. It's not like he was killed in a East vs. West rap shootout or something. The guy was in Las Vegas enjoying a fight, heading to a club and got shot up on the Strip. Honestly, the likely reason he got shot was because he stomped out Orlando Anderson (a Crip) in the MGM Grand just a couple of hours before, and nothing deeper than that. The catalyst of his death was the way he chose to live, his actions, and whatever came out of his mouth. You can't blame a genre of music for someone's death. It's like saying grunge was responsible for the death of Kurt Cobain. No; Kurt Cobain was responsible for his own death (or so they say....but that's an entirely different topic).

CB Estudiantes against the Grizzlies is probably the only match that won't be worth watching unless you want to be able to say you've watched the entire Tour. I don't think every game will be available everywhere, but for those of you that have NBA TV or live in the Toronto area you're very lucky. I have NBA TV so I'm set to go. I had to post this here as well as the Euroleague forum so that the information gets out to those that aren't aware of these matches for October. Mostly because I find most members live in the OT forum. Go here to discuss where it counts.

<div class="quote_poster">Legacy Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Eminem is white. </div> That was the joke... Hip-Hop isnt dead, the problem is people have blurred perceptions of what Hip-Hop is, they turn on TV, and see Nas or Jay-Z rapping on MTV, that isnt Hip-Hop, that is Rap. 50 Cent, MIMS, Mobb Deep, Paul Wall, Eminem etc. etc. all of that is rap, mainstream rap. The Hip-Hop culture is alive and kicking, its just there are too many people out there who are worried about making a $$$ rather than making banging music who give Hip-Hop a bad name (since it falls under the same category as Rap). If you look in the right places, you will find excellent Hip-Hop still being produced, guys like Little Brother for example, who have released 3 albums in the last 5 years that I consider to be some of the best Hip-Hop i've ever heard. Hip-Hop isnt dead at all, the main focus has just shifted to this "Dirty South" type bullshit you hear on MTV, because to todays generation, thats whats cool, and thats what its all about today, image and money. 50 Cent is well aware of this, and he just spends 5 minutes throwing together a song then releases an album, because he know its gonna sell no matter what, because kids wont buy it because of its complex lyricism, but because its 50 "I got shot 9 times I'm such a gangsta pimp huster" Cent.
I wouldn't say it's kids buying 50 records, I'd bet anything it's mostly females...his biggest success selling records hasn't came from portraying an image of a gangster and getting shot nine times, what sells him records is songs like In Da Club, Disco Inferno, Candy Shop, Just A Lil Bit, which are HUGE club hits...its like pop music. and did you just say Nas and Jay-Z aren't hip hop? How so? Your trying to distinguish Rap and Hip Hop...at the end of the day it's beats and rhymes, all those artists are hip hop. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">I dont understand WHY you're saying that though. Tupac didn't individualy stomp Andersen out...it was him and a group of other people. So why would they single Tupac out? I'm pretty sure nobody else got killed. I think your misinterpreting what I'm trying to say...yeah Pac's actions and the way that he lived his life that ultimately lead to his downfall, but a catalyst isn't a cause, it's something that speeds up a reaction. There was tons of negative energy around Pac in the hip hop game when he was shot...I'm just saying I think that played a role in his downfall. The same way it did Biggie Smalls, who, personality wise, was completely different from Tupac...yet he still died a damn near identical death. I think a lot of the negative energy in hip hop was significant in the deaths of them.
