<div class="quote_poster">hustler Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Lol Ben Haim is ****. I know I can't judge him with one play but see what Torres (misspell?) did to him from Liverpool.</div> He's not world class, but he's a solid full back. He's been able to shut down world class strikers (Rooney for example) numerous times. Obviously, an offensive superstar like Torres will be able to school even the best defenders sometimes, so that's not a good example. Chingy, I never said England were weak, but Lampard and Rooney are probably the team's best offensive weapons and they're both injured. Even their replacements are obviously better than Israel's offensive unit, but as I said, despite the talent gap I expect a draw. Plus, Owen isn't what he used to be before the injury (still superb though), but Ben Haim should do a good enough job on him, leaving the load on the less talented and less experienced strikers like Heskey. With both Gerrard and Hargreaves carrying injuries, you can't expect the midfield to be full-proof either. One well aimed step on Gerrard's toe can send him straight out focus, same for Hargreaves and his thigh. The only part of England's starting 11 that hasn't been affected too much is the defence. Terry and Ferdinand are basically like a steel wall, Cole is great and Richards is an up and coming star. It's not like Israel is San Marino or Guatemala either. We have talent, we just play for the draw most of the time and we usually get it (see: WC06 Qualifiers). Seems like this time we're going for the win and it'll be interesting to see how that plays out. Toto Tamuz and Barak Itzhaki are both wanted in countries like Portugal and Holland, they're both very talented young strikers and Itzhaki is on a roll since the end of last season. Benayoun is obviously the most important and most talented player and will need to play like he did for Liverpool against Tuluz. Idan Tal played for Bolton but decided to move back to Israel after 2 seasons there, despite Bolton wanting him to stay. Yaniv Katan had a stint with West Ham, he's a good striker as well. The defence is pretty good as well, full of experienced guys. Add Pini Balili (plays for Sivasspor(sp?) in Turkey) as an offensive spark off the bench, and Walid Badir who's a pretty good midfielder (scored against France a year or two ago in the WC06 Qualifiers). We're missing Roberto Colautti (plays for Gladbach in Germany), our top striker who's out with an injury, though. Too bad.

I've shot the **** with Floyd Landis twice this week, he's a real down to earth, cool guy. The first time I met him a couple months back I thought he was a dick, but I guess he was just having a bad day. He rides 7 days a week, usually 70-90 miles a day. Two days a week though, his riding partner and him ride 140 miles a day, that's absolutely nuts. He's a real cool guy, I love when he comes into Starbucks.
Remember how I told you guys about my tennis tournament? Well we had it the tournament today at this college's tennis courts. We got there. Mines and my friends name was called up for doubles. So we stepped into the court and we're rallying and all of us a sudden rain starts pouring out of nowhere. So we go inside the college and chill for like an hour. Well it stops raining so we go back outside and play. We didnt have enough time to play 2 sets so we played upto 15 super tiebreaker way. Well me and my friend were playing Rank #1 Doubles for JV. We beat the other team 15-8. In tiebreakers, for every point its a whole point. After we had won, I got called up to play the other team's Rank #1 in Singles. Well I beat him 15-7. The scoring was pretty gay, I wish we could've played 2 sets but unfortunately we didn't have enough time. BTW, we were playing against another school. Like their Ranks play our ranks and at the end whichever school's people win more games, that school wins that certain tournament. I had won 2 games for my school but unluckily we lost 8-11 against the other school. I didn't really care because we had a lot of new people, but I played pretty good.
I know you guys probably find it wierd that I keep talking about my druken adventures and what not, but after frosh week , I won't be drinking that often so I'm living it up for now. Our ENTIRE floor got wasted together today and we alll headed to this semi formal afterwards. And yeah....I kinda made out (and a little bit more but yeah....) with another random girl today. The wierd part? She's one of my close friend's (a girl) friends and she's always hanging out with her so it's going to be REEEEEEEEEEALLLLLLY awkward tommorow if/when I see her.

I talked to him for about 5 minutes today. I've talked to him 3 times now, about 5 minutes each time. The first time he was a real dick, but the pat two times he's been way chill. I figured the first time he was just having a bad day? Today though I talked to him about his routine. He usually rides 6-7 days a week. 2 times out of those 6-7 days, he rides 140 miles a day with his partner and the other days he rides he usually does about 70-90 miles a day. Way chill guy, really cool to talk to.
Dude, my mouth hit the floor when his riding partner and he said 140 miles. I was like omfg...I was speechless.

I think he is used as a main one, but he shouldn't be. The whole of England are hoping this game will open Macca's eyes. At the last game (v Germany) his name was booed. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">With both Gerrard and Hargreaves carrying injuries, you can't expect the midfield to be full-proof either. It is possible for Israel to do well and get a draw, but I would be horrified if it happened.

But you now that if someone accidentally steps on Gerrard's foot (you can't say the chances of that are slim in football), he will not be well.
