Re: Random Thought Thread My philosophy class sucks so far. The prof keeps talking about the Matrix...which was our first assignment. He's repeated the same thing for 3 classes now, but I'm hoping he goes deeper into allegories and what not this week. </p> My soc class had a lot of study on Socrates, Plato and Aristotle early on but now there's like 2 chapters that I have to read and catch up on. It's so hard to study in my rez building, because people, whenever they're here, just like to hang out and chill. Our floor ended up going to the movies today and watching Good Luck Chuck. Jessica Alba gets naked for about half a second in that movie lol, I think that's the only thing good about the movie. Actually, it wasn't too bad, some thigns were funny, some not so much. Alba looked pretty bad in her intro scene but looked great the rest of the film. Cook's acting wasn't too bad either.</p> Jesus fuckin Christ, the rez internet is slow as fuck. I'm trying to download the install file for DC++ and I can't even do that cause it keeps going slow every two seconds.</p>

I didn't change anything, did I? </p> I'll admit that some philosophers can get too difficult to read because they take forever to express a simple point (Locke's biggest problem). But the theories and concepts they put forward still interest me. I've been reading Plato's works this year (outside of the Republic) and they're so interesting.</p> </p> EDIT: I just realized that I pressed the edit button for huevonkiller's post, put his comments in a quote, and wrote my own post underneath it so that it looked like he was quoting himself and saying what I eventually posted.
