I like Green Bay with Ahman Green back healthy, which hopefully he stays. I know their season depends on how cohesive the OL becomes, but I feel that GB will start slowly and then finish with a fury. I like their home schedule down the stretch. It's still hard to be GB at home and I like them in some of their road games too because it'll be a cold weather game like in Chicago. My feeling on Chicago is that if you can get deep on them then you can beat them. I think their weakness on defense is still pass coverage.
Aren't you a Bear's fan? Sorry I guess it's just odd to hear reason & objective views from your kind.
I don't hate the Bears but I wouldn't call me a fan. I like their history, just like I like Green Bay's. I'm a big Walter Payton and Mike Singletary fan. I'm a Cowboys fan first and foremost and I'm incredibly objective. I hate homers...even Cowboys homers.

Detroit, Minnesota and Philly are pretty much all they have on that front. I think that might help Green Bay's cause a bit this year.

I wouldn't know I don't watch that sort of material Edit: I just happened to put my cursor over the angel smiley & noticed that it says Gloria. Someone close to your heart VF?
I wouldnt be shocked if Calvin Johnson from GA Tech was picked 1st, if he comes out....hes 6-5, can jump out of the building and has good speed....he dominated Notre Dame last weekend....

I have Johnson currently going at 9 to Philly. I definitely could see him going higher though. I'm sure Detroit will be tempted to take him.

If Green Bay has a top 3 pick and if Peterson is off the board, I think this guy is a must pick for them. Minnesota could use him. San Francisco I think would take him #1 overall. Right now my mock looks similar to this 1. Buffalo - Brady Quinn 2. 49ers - Calvin Johnson 3. Jets - Adrian Peterson 4. Titans - Joe Thomas I think those are your 4 best players in next years draft. Gaines Adams could climb boards but I'm not as high on him as most are.
That actually looks like a pretty good prediction, as far as the order of the teams and the players they might take....
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (houstonpower780)</div><div class='quotemain'>with much of the media saying that brady quin will win the hiesman trophy and maybe even be the no.1 pick. my vote would be for adrian petterson but who do you think will be the no.1 pick next year http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n228/su.../1308582407.jpg</div> i personally dont think peterson is all that good, I mean hes good dont get me wrong, but not #1 pick material. My vote goes to quinn.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (aaronklemme)</div><div class='quotemain'>I don't see why Brady Quinn wouldn't be the #1 overall pick. with or without Heisman Trophy</div> Because a team like San Francisco is not going to draft Quinn after drafting Alex Smith 2 years ago. Quinn is the most worthy of the #1 pick at this juncture, but San Fran has larger needs at RB, OT, and WR. Peterson, Johnson, and Thomas would fill those needs and are worthy of being a #1 pick. But if you see someone like Buffalo, Detroit, Cleveland (maybe), or the Jets...then Quinn should be a shooin for the #1 pick.
Obviously we don't know what team will be drafting first yet, but you've got to think that Brady Quinn has the inside track. Before this year, the last five #1 picks had been quarterbacks. I love Calvin Johnson, but receiver is so rarely a team's most pressing need that I have a hard time seeing him picked first overall. I agree earlier with the person who says that Adrian Peterson is a little overrated - it's not that he's not a good (or even great) back, but he's already got durability issues! Joe Thomas would have to have a really, really good year, but if the Texans end up picking first then I could see him going there. Still, right now I'd say Quinn has by far the best chance of being the top pick.
