Still not sure what Mike Sherman was thinking. Trading up for a punter who would have been, at best, a seventh round pick if not undrafted altogether? The humanity!

Just another example of why Sherman's abilities as a GM was his ultimate failure and lead to his dismisal as GM and as coach shortly after.
They should have kept Joey Thomas. He would have been better than Carroll or Jason Horton. I think Ted Thompson cut him out of spite.
