I hate Skip Bayless. But I love Scrubs. I also can't when you have those guys you play basketball with that constantly run their mouths. Annoying as hell. Just play the damn game!

QUOTE

March 27) - A 57-year-old man will serve 20 years in prison for molestation charges after pleading guilty in a Virginia court for his attempts to solicit 13-year-old boys over the Internet. But Gene R. Morrill is making molestation charges of his own. He reportedly is telling an investigator that he had been sexually assaulted by the legendary Bigfoot creature in New Hampshire. The claim inspired some snickers from locals in Stafford County. "I think he's an idiot," one man said. One newspaper reported that the man's mental health became an issue that his defense used to seek leniency from the judge, who ultimately declared the man competent to stand trial.

I went to my guidance counselor today to discuss colleges a bit. Looking at my report card average and PSAT scores, he made up a list of some schools that are "safe" or "possible" for me. I asked him to narrow it down to schools that have either majors in education or criminal justice. Some "safe" colleges for me would be York, John Jay, CSI, not mention private colleges like LIU, St John's, St Francis etc. He said that if I get a higher SAT score, I might have a chance at Hunter, Fredonia, Brockport etc I got interested in Buffalo State, LIU and Fredonia. Their much more expensive then CUNY, but I figured that with maybe some scholarships and financial aid; I might make it work. My parents are divorced (despite living together), so my mom tells me that with her income, I might not have to pay for my tuition if I attend a CUNY college. Not sure if that's totally true.
I consider myself to be fairly liberal, but UofT's student union is everything that's wrong with university. This is the result of a "sit-in" protest against rising tuition fees. They're claiming police brutality:

There's a larger story to this that I'll probably explain some other time. But basically, our union is led by a bunch of pansies thinking they're Caesar Chavez re-incarnated or something.

Nah man, they're just so retarded. They've alienated so much of the school because they selectively fund different protests, rallies, organizations, showing a helluva lot of bias in the process (eg: Israeli Apartheid rallies). Some of those groups are actually in line with what I believe in, but that's not the job of the student union. They should be spending their time, energy, and resources on representing the student body on issues that matter. Instead, they're pretty low on funds for relevant issues, while external organizations like "Always Question" are sucking money out of them to organize meaningless protests. That video was like the last straw for most people. Forget the fact that they organized the protest with no understanding of the issue at hand (the uni's raising the residence fees of one of our colleges by 20%, which is entirely too much and should be spoken against, but they were forced to do that in the first place because they inherited a $6 mill debt from the previous administration). They just went about it in the most asinine way possible: blocking the university administration from leaving their offices, randomly disturbing rez students to bolster a lackluster turnout, screaming and crying like a bunch of wusses when the security was doing their job (they literally picked them up and moved them aside). Its an embarrassment to students that already have a reputation for being pretentious, spoiled douchebags. Some time in March, the current union was voted out and replaced with a new, more moderate, leadership. Their response was to organize protests against the "corrupting influences, claim electoral fraud without providing an ounce of evidence, and generally waste time (all the while funding more unsanctioned groups). You just know some of these retards are going to be politicians in the near future too.... that, or downtown panhandlers.
