Denver will get a 3rd and 4th (minimum) from the Skins to complete this deal. Interesting to see a 3 way trade in the NFL. I've seen it in the NBA & think its happened in MLB. Further, Vick allegedly gets a target. Considering Crumpler & Finneran are out and usually who Ron Mexico hucks the rock to on the rare occasions he decides to throw.
The T.O. Trade was also a 3 wayer as well, and I believe Atlanta was involved in another during draft day as well.
Atlanta's been busy. Looks like they're swapping contract proposals with Grady Jackson right now, too....
Snyder's been pretty cavalier about the value of draft picks so it wouldn't surprise me if Denver fleeced them pretty good.
I really think Ashley Lelie is very underrated. He has led the nfl in yards per catch the last two years. He can make lots of acrobatic catchs and is a serious deep threat.
Just imagine that backfield when Portis is back. Plus with their new receiving crew they could be one of the top offences if Brunell holds up. I'm still not to sure about Lelie. He'll make the circus catch but can he become more or just be like Brandon Loyd
Lelie only runs one route, a streak....hes terrified of going over the middle and he cant do any of things that a quality WR can do except run full speed in a straight line and hope the ball floats down from above....of course hes leading the league in yards per catch, he only gets open by out running people....he does fit Atlanta's offense though....Vick makes one read, in this case, the position of the safety on Lelie' side, then he throws it as far as he can if Lelie is one on one, or he pulls it down and jets....thats standard Vick football....
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (MKIV_Supra)</div><div class='quotemain'>So does this mean that Jerious Norwood is the backup RB for Atlanta?</div> He did look good against the Pat's B team. He's a fast little bugger.

He played college ball @ Hawaii. They run a modified run & shoot with WR's doing crossing routes all the time. To clarify, Atlanta's offense is 2 reads; Pitch to RB then is Crumpler open. Otherwise, it resembles the OU Sooners back in the Bud Wilkinson/Switzer eras i.e QB keeper.
Hi all, new to the forum here. I really like the info and takes I've seen here so I decided to join. I really like that the Redskins picked up Duckett in this deal. It will save Portis those 3rd and 1 thumpings he takes throughout the season. The only problem I have with it is that he's going to steal my FFL TD's from Portis! Washington by far got the better end of this deal. Atlanta wants Vick to throw the ball more efficiently, maybe they figure Lelie will open up the secondary a bit, but I don't see him making a huge impact. I've been waiting for Dunn to wear out for over 3 years now, this might be the year without a viable short yardage back.
