Smart choice to think hard about Computer Science. It's going to require a lot of studying and learning, since it changes all the time. My mom does programming, and is very frustrated with it, but that's mostly because of her bosses.

I'd say go with Michigan, since the Midwest tends to be better than the coasts : D I'm going to Missouri myself...even thought Texas gave me $81,000 in gift aid....hard to pass it up, but I'll definitely like Mizzou better than UT. My home state school decided to give me a whopping $0 of aid! So both Texas/Missouri are cheaper.

The programming classes are pretty cool, especially in languages like Java.
