Its hard to establish the best WR in the game but i think Torry Holt is the best WR in the league, and these are my reasons why: last year he caught 102 balls one less than steve smith who lead the league in recs, he had 1331 yards avg 13 per rec and 9 TDs only starting 14 games!!!!!. He has been the most consistent over the last couple of years in 2004: 94 catches 1372 yards 10 TDs 2003: 117 games 1696 yards 12 TDs and he had a serious despite having a very serious ankle injury 2002: 91 catches 1302 yards 4 TDs 2001: 81 catches 1363 yards 7 TDs 2000: 82 catches 1635 yards 6 TDs 1999: In his rookie season 52 catches 788 yards and 6 TDs and he won a super bowl. Over the last three years Holt has 51 more recs than marvin harrison, 868 more yards than harrison. Over Holts entire career he has avged 2 more yards per catch than harrison. There is no WR as productive the last 3 years than Torry Holt
The problem I have with this (and with any WR comparison) is that a WR is dependent on a QB and a system. For example...Houston has some very good WR's, but their offensive line is so bad that the QB can never get the ball to the receivers. Randy Moss put up sick numbers, then the Vikings started to suck, and his production suffered. With the Raiders, he hasn't put up even close to the same numbers. Did he become less good, or is this a product of his environment. Tory Holt is good, but he has also played along side a pass-happy offense, an incredible passing system, with some other great receivers.
best wr in the league right now is chad johnson. last year he had 14000 yards, he only had 9 td's over the last five years hes only been fumbled twice and recovered both of them

TO might be the 4th or 5th best reciever in the league. I'd put Holt, Johnson, Moss, Smith ahead of him, and probably Harrison as well (that would make him the 6th best). I don't think you can put weight on whether or not they have won a superbowl - really, what does a WR do to win a super bowl? If they aren't thrown the ball, or if they are in a bad system, they won't make an impact. Skill positions like the WR are so dependent on other factors, it makes it very difficult to say who is the best.
As tough as it is to say if I had he was 100% healthy I'd have a hard time not picking Moss. He is the one guy even when the back-up comes in he'll just tell him to chuck it up and he'll make a play. Remember Cunningham just winging it up and he always came down with it. Almost unbearable to watch
Steve Smith is the best wide receiver in the NFL right now. If you want to say "last three or four years," then yes...Torry Holt. But RIGHT NOW...it's Steve Smith.

Harrison 5. Holt That would be my top 5 with Johnson at #6. If Steve Smith has another year this year like he did last, I'd have trouble not putting him #1. If Moss struggles this year, then I'd definately have to move him down possibly to #6.

I like Steve Smith. MossChadTO are probably better.... but pound for pound, Smith is better. He is so SMALL, yet he is so amazing in the things he does. Not to mention those celebrations!
moss is done! hes gotten worse over the past two years...yeah the raiders sucked, but so did the cardinals, thier recievers did fine
