Florida is the deep south in the way that Hawaii is the deep south.

GMJ, how do you insert a .gif into a .psd?

    copy paste?

What sort of problems are you running into?

oh, I had difficulty once because a gif was using a color scheme (black/white) that was different than the color (16-bit) of my psd. Is that what's up?

I have no idea. I put it into imageready, edited it a bit, and saved it as a .psd. Lets see if I can click and drag it in.

    Nope, didn't work.

By the way, I mean animated .gif.

ahhhh yeah that process is a lot more cumbersome than you might think. I really hope there's an easier way, but I had to do it by opening the gif in photoshop (which moves the frames into layers), then extending the canvas size to that of your sig, and pasting in as many copies of the final sig as there are to gif frames. Then its a matter of merging each layer with each gif frame [IMG]

This is what I had to do before I had imageready, so again I hope there's an easier way to do that.

I'm sure there's a way in image ready. The alternative of lowering the opacity on every frame sounds too menacing.

I only have 67 frames, so changing the opacity wouldn't be the biggest problem.

Got it to work. Now I just need to change the opacity for every layer, and turn them on. [IMG]

Took me ~ 3 hours of work.

Biggest thing I got out of it was how to animate, and how to use the pen tool (which is miles ahead of any other selection tool. I have no idea why my PEWD teacher didn't show us how to use it).

I don't think I've ever used the pen tool, but I think JCB is down with it. What's so swell about it?

Make selections very precisely, by setting anchor points, and even allowing you to curve. It also allows you to make custom shapes.

Pen Tool is probably the best thing about PS. It gives you so much versatility and really makes the entire program worthwhile.

I just found an issue of Slam from 2004. It was rather hilarious to read through it.

It was the only issue of Slam I ever purchased, so I'll give you one guess who was on the cover
