I just read TO was fined for missing a meeting. Is he going to get his act together this year or is he going to cause the Cowboys problems like the Eagles? Regardless of how good he is - he is a distraction.

Are you sure? I wouldn't wish him on any team. Well, maybe Buffalo. ROFL?

Isn't TO worried that this is going to hurt his ability to make money as a football player?

    I don't get this guy...
I am starting to think he might have some psychological problems...
    maybe a little narcissism...
It's extremely frustrating to watch my favorite team pay big money to a child...
I would not be surprised if he is released before sept. 10th...
Parcells has little patience for this sort of thing...

With all that said, I still think that the media is instigating all of this drama...
There might not be any problems at all if Owens didn't see his face plastered all over the television every night...
    Tis a shame...

Guys, I don't know what the big deal is with this fine. It can't be worthy news because it doesn't change my image of him. He's still a complete idiot. [IMG]

It will be interesting to see what the media stories are this afternoon and evening. Owens finally did a player interview for the local media (there are several players every day that do this). Owens admitted that he was late and understood the fine. Parcells does not normally discuss details of fines, but I believe there were about 5 last year. Owens also agreed that if Parcells has a rule that says if a player does practice then he doesnt play, then I have to go by that rule.

Looks like Episode I is over.

My brother being a dallas fan jsut makes this so much better.. knowing that all the sh!# talking will not only come to an end but end is a disaster of the cowboys. ha just cant wait.

Overslept? You would think that with all the $ that Jerry Jones foolishly gave TO that he could have purchased an alarm clock. hmmmmm?

I have a funny feeling that no store in north Texas carries any mirrors. ROFL.

The whole season of the Cowboys depends on TO, just like last year for the Eagles. If TO can make it through the season without any problems, which probably wont happen, the Cowboys will win the division and most likely be a major threat in the playoffs. But, if he causes any problems, Dallas will suck this season and possibly finish last in the division, which leaves it WIDE open for the Giants and Eagles, just judging by the preseason the Redskins had.....

I disagree. The Eagles' biggest problem after losing TO was that they had no quality receivers behind him. The Cowboys have a better #2 in Terry Glenn. They have a better TE in Jason Witten. And watch out for the combination of Patrick Crayton, Sam Hurd, and Jamaica Rector. Crayton was coming on last year before an injury and has looked like preinjury form when he's played in the preseason. Sam Hurd was an undrafted FA out of Northern Illinois and has been great. He's made some incredible catches. Jamaica Rector came on strong at the end of preseason with a lot of big catches and earned a spot on the roster. The Cowboys are much better off at the position than the Eagles were.

Another big difference will be the coach. Parcells has let TO know that his mind games will result in him sitting right from the start. Parcells is very hands on when administering the discipline of his team. Andy Reid was too laid back. He feels that the players are adults and can govern themselves well enough. That's not true of the modern athlete. Parcells is used to dealing with distractions like he dealt with LT and Bryan Cox. The only way TO ruins the Cowboys would be if Parcells has enough and tells Jerry Jones that it's either him or TO. If Jerry picks TO, then the Cowboys will be ruined and I would be pretty pissed off at my favorite team.

He is an athlete there is no arguing that...one of the best in the league i think but i would not sign him to any team of mine...he is a headache beyond belief...the only benifit from having him is that wat ever u sign him ot you will get back in fines.
