    Got a 5 on Calc I and a 4 Physics B.

I have no idea how I pulled a 4 on that Physics exam. I was expecting a 2, maybe a 3 if I was lucky. I'm not complaining though.

Oh nice, Physics B is tough.

I didn't take Ap Calc in Highschool but that ended up being better for me since when I took it at my university, my course grade was higher than my GPA (A-). :]

I honestly have no idea how I got that 4 on the Physics one. I stopped paying attention the last month of the year in that class and half-assed about 75% of the free response questions on the actual exam.

And I'm contemplating taking Calc I again this year (if they let me) even though I have the credits for the class now. It's not like I remember most of the stuff now anyway, so taking it again to refresh my memory wouldn't hurt. And since I excel at it, it might help keep my GPA up in my first semester of college, kind of like what happened to you. I don't want to screw myself taking hard classes now because I need a 3.3 to get into the RU business school after my soph year. I've held a steady 3.9-4.0 all through high school, but I don't want to risk anything.

Voodoo Child Can I Kick It?

So there's this hot chick on Leno. Come to find out, she's 15!?!?! Demi Lovato. What the hell?

It seemed like Tim Allen was hitting on her, but then when she said her age, he became bitterly condescending.

But I mean, what the hell! I know girls are looking older and older, but I have a 15 year old sister, and you can still tell she's a child. This chick looks like she's at least 20 though.

Anyway, this weekend is going to suck for me - nothing but packing all day and night. It'll be worth it when I touch back down in NOLA on Monday though. Man, I've missed that place.

Ah lol, the same thing is happening to me with Physics right now. I haven't finished the course but I'm doing well, and the joke Lab class I've already finished with an A.

Weird, how it's helped me not taking AP classes...... I also changed my major my sophomore year of college, so I might be studying something completely inappropriate for me had I not had more time to think before entering those tougher courses after Calc/Physics 1.

So I've been doing nothing tonight but packing, drinking wine (which I hate but is all I found around the house after my aunts rolled into town), listening to music, and watching tv, because I've got a really important move back to NOLA coming up Sunday night.

The Soul Train episode of Fresh Prince is on though. Classic, especially the Carlton dance scene.

Carlton was actually a g back in the day. It's funny how they casted him as such a loser in the show.

27 is such an awkward age. it almost feels like i'm 13 again, trapped between two different stages in life.

all week i walk to the subway thinking how i would push the guy ahead of me into traffic for an extra hour of sleep. Then on the weekends i wake up at the exact same time i do during the week (this time without an alarm) and can't get back to sleep because i need to take my 7:15 crap.

all well, it gives me a chance to read the news in peace before the financee wakes up.

    </div>

Well, my school gives out number grades, not letter grades, and my overall GPA for all 4 years was a 94.3-ish. So, on most scales, as far as I know, a 94 = A = 3.9-ish, no? It's not like I was getting perfect scores in all my classes. Just solid A's. One thing to note though is that the honors/AP classes I took were weighted, so without the weight for those, my overall average would probably be in the 92-ish, which is more like a 3.7-3.8 I guess. The guys who get into the Harvard's and Princeton's have 4.3's+. And my SAT scores were 700 Math, 650 Critical Reading, 670 Writing.

And fwiw, I did apply to an Ivy League (Cornell) and was rejected. It probably didn't help that two other kids from my school applied and both got accepted and are going. I also applied to Northwestern (dream school) but was rejected. Got into University of Michigan and would probably be going if it weren't so far away. The tuition is also double what Rutgers is and I wouldn't be getting anywhere near double the education, so it wasn't really worth it.

The other night, my wife, sons and I went out to dinner at a local Mexican restaurant that serves huge margaritas. In a both near us, there were three young (early 20's) kids drinking said huge margaritas. One of the three was this rather attractive blond lady and it was obvious that she had too much to drink.

By the time we sat down, they only had drinks in front of them and they were being silly. The only guy at the booth was linking straws together and at one point the blond is sitting up on the top of the booth drinking her margarita from six connected straws. That was funny enough to see, but then one of the servers brings her out some tubing, about an inch thick and at least 2 feet long. She sticks that in her glass and with the tubing in one loop, proceeds to suck up the rest of her drink. After a few minutes, she finished her drink and then put the tubing in the other girl's glass.

    That girl could suck
