If something belongs to an item who you don't wish to denote male or female, use "its" If you see "it's" replace it with "it is" in your head, and if it makes sense, then use "it's" Paid is the past-tense of the verb "to pay"
I haven't had a decent meal in 3 days...now? Everything is so sore, and in some parts of my mouth I have small cuts from the braces, which hurt even more when I try to eat.
