Noah: "I Think Mock Drafts Are A Complete Joke"

It's crazy. I thought I was the only one who absolutely hated Noah, but all over the internet and in every one of our team forums, everybody is saying, "I don't care who our team drafts... as long as it's not Noah!"

I hope he gets hit by a bus.

I hate Noah also. He is the player i hate the most in all of sports. I dont know why he is saying that mock drafts are a joke. He should be happy that he is projected to be #9 or whatever because he is not going to do anything in the pros.

As for that part of his quote, nbadraft.net's sort of like that, but draftexpress has legitimate scouts and inside sources working for them, whereas at JBB, we just do it secondary as a part of our writing team content, and the guys who work on it (me, shape, and soon-to-be Run BJM) have seen most of these prospects than probably some team's entire staffs combined. Basically, Noah's just frustrated with his projected draft position and is talking out of his ass. He doesn't hide that fact very well.

Yeah, there are a lot of similarities. Not only did they both rant about mock drafts, but both players are horribly overrated power forwards who have no place in the NBA. Not to mention that they both play with a real in-your-face, obnoxious attitude.

Joakim Noah is a hack, as I said in the Timberwolves forum, all I can ever see him doing is being a decent defensive threat (ala Bruce Bowen) and thats it, maybe averaging like 8ppg, 6rpg at best. I think he is incredibly overated, I wouldnt take him with a lottery pick, thats for damn sure.

Bruce Bowen? That's far too generous. His defense is really overrated. On the collegiate level, he was a decent help defender simply because his height and length allowed him to get a lot of easy blocks. Whenever you posted him up though, Noah showed that he plays defense like a 6'10" Steve Nash. Just look at the title game against Ohio State. Florida went out of their way to try to make sure that Al Horford was on Greg Oden defensively, but Ohio State kept coming up with ways to switch Oden off onto Noah, and whenever that happened, Oden would throw him around and score at will.

Well I dont mean he'll be as good a defender as Bowen, I mean that I think that will be the upside of his overall game, his defense, although after watching those videos, maybe not, lol.

Noah has to just face the truth, he sucks and isn't going up much farther. When he faced Greg Oden, he just got Ow-den-ed.....

Well he gave his honest opinion, I don't really see the problem with it. I agree with what everyone said I don't see him being a star in the league (solid role player), but I am not going to criticize him for not liking mock drafts.

Nobody's really criticizing him for that. We're criticizing him for being an obnoxious asshole who lacks class and is extremely overrated by all the draft 'experts.'

You know what? Noah loves all the criticism, he will take it to heart. You can hate his game and you can hate his attitude, but you can't hate those 2 rings on his fingers. The guy is a flat out winner. He is a valuable commodity on any contending team. I agree that he likely won't be a star or anything, but he has a great work ethic and whatever team drafts him the fans will love him, because he goes 110% and is such a hard worker. He leaves it all out on the floor. You will never see him take a play off. I said the same things about David Lee to Knicks fans.

btw, did anyone think that Noah could handle Oden? I thought it would be hard enough for a guy like Horford, much less Noah. I don't see how that proves anything. That Aboya dunk was one thing when the Gators were already hammering them. Hell Noah's back was turned. I'm sure he wasn't too mad about that when he was pulling a boxscore of 7-9 from the floor, 2-2 from the line, 16 points, 9 boards 3 assists, and 6 blocks, while winning the game. Noah had probably 5 dunks that entire game.

Here is a legitimate scouting video on him of what scouts are actually looking for in him. Invalid Video Link He is a very unique player, you don't really have any bases for comparison, because quite frankly the NBA hasn't ever seen a player like Noah(the player most like him is KG, but I certainly wouldn't compare Noah to KG, because there is no comparison). If you do compare him, I could see him being similar to Boris Diaw(worse shooter, but much better defender). I personally think he'll be successful in the league as a role player for 8-10 years. He won't be as good as some players drafted behind him, but I think a team like Chicago, who is looking to compete in the near future, would be very wise to take him. Contending teams need guys that will do the little things like Noah can do. Noah doesn't want to be the star, he doesn't want the attention, the main thing he wants to do is to win. He will do whatever it takes to help his team win ball games. Noah might not be the man if a team wins a championship, but he will be a key player in the championship run.

Oh and no offense to anyone that does do a mock draft, but he's right about them.

No offense, Brett, but you're a UF fan. Of course you're going to love Noah.
