Noah is one of those polarizing guys like J.J. Redick where you either love him or hate him. Mark me down as a Noah fan. The guy plays with unbridled emotion and energy, sometimes that made him act like college basketball's biggest ass and sometimes it made him act like its best ambassador. I'll say this though: for as big of an ass as Noah was at any point during the season, I guarantee he took in ten times more "ass-like" behavior from opposing teams' fans than he gave out. Enduring the jealousy and criticism (justified or not) that comes with being the most hated player in college basketball is a lot of pressure for a 22 year old kid to be under. I'll make another guarantee to you: if Noah was on your favorite college basketball team, you would love him and defend him against the masses as much as any Florida fan, which I’m not. (Though in the interest of full disclosure, he did do a post graduate year at my high school the year before going to Florida, but that was several years after I’d graduated…Go Big Red…) Personally, I was glad he made the decision not to enter the '06 draft. It was a weak draft class, Noah was way overrated, and it would have been almost impossible for him to live up to expectations. He would have had to go his entire career hearing comparisons to Greg Oden, the #1 pick from the following year. As for what kind of pro career he'll have, I don’t think anyone can say. First of all, it totally depends on what team he lands on. Boris Diaw wasn't allowed to play his game in Atlanta, was thought to be a bust, went to Phoenix, and became a great player (albeit for one year). Noah's game is even more unique than Diaw’s. He's all hustle, energy, and emotion, but he doesn’t have all that much skill. If he goes to a structured, half-court system, he’s really going to struggle. But, if he goes to a team like my Warriors, the league's refuge for misunderstood players, players without a position, and track athletes who happened to wander onto a basketball court in the middle of a game and decided not to leave, I think he’s got a great chance to succeed.

mock drafts arent a joke. they are just the medias opinion on what moves the teams will make during the draft.
Mock drafts almost always turn out to be far off from what happens in the actual draft. Mock drafts are just fillers that give people something to talk about before the draft. btw, great post wtwalker.

A lot of the information coming out on players which go into the rankings are direct opinions of his coaches, his scouts, his trainers, his GM's, and his own peers. Are these people jokes to him as well? The people constructing the mock draft take into consideration these comments along with their own analysis of team needs, and where a player might fit in, and they start filling in the draft slots. The draft is not an exact science, so the best a person can do is make an educated guess and provide some rationale behind it. If he doesn't agree with his positioning, then he can go out and prove all the jokers wrong in his workouts.

<div class="quote_poster">TwinTowers Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">If he does not want the attention why does he run his mouth all the damn time and scream whenever he does a single play?</div> That's just his personality on the court. He wants to get everyone pumped up, that's basically his job on the team is to energize his teammates, while making everyone around him better. Dude whenever someone posed a question about him and the Gators he always put his teammates before him. He always redirected the question about how Horford, Green, Brewer, Humphrey were all more important to the team. He stated countless times that Horford easily dominated him in practice. I think since he's in the spot light more attention is paid to his every word then most players. He is probably 3rd behind Oden/Durant in attention and he's probably #1 on JBB. He could shut his mouth a little more, but he's a very outgoing guy.

Not only did they both rant about mock drafts, but both players are horribly overrated power forwards who have no place in the NBA. Not to mention that they both play with a real in-your-face, obnoxious attitude.</div> Statistically, Tyrus Thomas is the most efficient defensive player in the league. I forgot where I saw it (I'll post it if I find it). Ahead of guys like Duncan, Wallace, etc. I'm not sayin, I'm just sayin... He does have a place in the NBA. Maybe you haven't seen a lot of Bulls games, but the worst case scenario he's at least our replacement for Tyson Chandler. But I myself don't like Noah all that much, please don't compare the two.

Him and Noah are actually very similar players, except Thomas is a better shotblocker, and Noah's got a better motor.
I think Noah would be a great fit for a team that does not need him to be one of their top 3 or 4 scoring options. he does not have a very polished offensive game, but with his energy and help defense, he can help a team like Golden State, Phoenix, San Antonio or Dallas. Unfortunately, it does not look like he will be going to any of those squads.
