Although not a sure bet, it is more likely that Rasheed Wallace will wind up in New York through a trade than Isiah Thomas going back to Detroit to coach the Pistons.

Thomas has always loved Wallace's talent and the Knicks need a veteran big man. Rasheed would enjoy embarking on his last NBA assignment in New York.

Isiah and Joe Dumars have a great relationship but it is difficult to imagine Thomas returning to the Pistons as long as Bill Davidson and Tom Wilson are holding the reins. [READ] </div>

    What hell is this !!!!

I don't want to see Sheed in NY!!! That would kill the entire team. We need O'neal/Kg here to unite the team, don't need 7 TF every season!!!! Plus his salary is huge! and he is like 33 years old.

Okay, yeah, I could see that. I would probably rest easy, cause I still don't see anything Detroit wants that the Knicks have, except maybe future picks. I'm still skeptical as to how New York would land KG or JO. There's some pretty big names being tossed about with regards to those guys.

If they somehow dont trade Lee or Frye, New York could be a playoff team with Rasheed. I think i would actually watch that team.

Considering Sheed makes 10 mill less than Garnett or 7.5 mill less than Jermaine, he doesn't seem like a terrible option.

I don't understand why Isiah Thomas would bring Rasheed Wallace to New York. Rasheed is not a franchise player, he plays with too little poise and too much attitude. What New York needs is a go to guy and Sheed can't bring that. New York should not attempt to bring in another PF who won't turn the franchise around as they are already developing Frye and Lee both have shown great talent this year. Isiah should leave Detroit to do what they want with Sheed but bringing him to New York is not a good idea.

Exactly my point, Sheed is not a leader he fades away during tough important games. We need a leader such as KG/O'neal to carry us to the wins during the time of stuggle of the team.

Rasheed has been our 3rd most clutch player on our team throughout the year behind Rip and Chauncey. Besides when is there ever going to be a BIG game in New York?

I understand where you're coming from but the move is pretty good to me. First of all, Rasheed Wallace is the perfect compliment to Eddy Curry. He is a power forward who can play defense and block shots, which is what the Knicks have been missing for a long time now. In addition, he can stretch the defense and create more space for Eddy Curry, who led the entire NBA in points in the paint. People mention his attitude and whatnot, but that's exactly what the Knicks have been missing. Even with that attitude, he?s still the type of fiery character that we need on this team. Channing Frye is the most expendable player on the entire team?he?s a big man with a jumpshot. That?s it. Rasheed Wallace is what the Knicks hope Channning Frye will turn out to be. Wallace makes about $26 million the next two years, but in the next two years Marbury and Francis will also be expiring too. If all three are still on the team with expiring contracts, they will be serious assets.

Well you all do have a point.....but Sheed plays with a lot of attitude and swagger leading to the thiing which i'm scared of. If it doesn't go hs "way' he just gives up! and becomes a whinny sucker.
