Look at it from our perspective. Do we see people from any other religion pull the same bullshit to the scale of what these terrosrists have done lately? Why is it that all the conflicts in the world (for the most part) occur in the middle east? I'm not counting Africa because the nations there are under-developed and the conflicts aren't based on religion. Before you call people ignorant or stupid, try to look at it from their perspective.

Ok. You know what, since we are trying to make people look from other peoples' perspectives, how about this..

Black people cause the most bullshit (crimes & problems) in the US. Why the hell is racism wrong, then?

I mean, ****ing look from our perspectives. So many people I know have had **** stolen from a black guy. So many people I know have had family members killed by a black guy. So many women I know have taken lots of **** from black women. Black people have the worst attitudes.

Why do black people cause the most crimes, problems, and EVERY LITTLE bad thing in United States? (counter question to your "why do all problems exist in Middle East?") ...

Btw, if you want the answer to it. Its because they've got OIL.

So next time you call someone racist, look at it from their point of view.

In the end, whats right is right, whats wrong is wrong. Because I know black people that are nicer than any other people I've ever met.

I'm not really too keen on the divisions that religions establish among human beings (cause in the end, that's what we all are), but look at it like this. These terrorists organizations are but a small portion of the Muslim population of the world. Basically, they are extremists. There are Hindu extremists as well, who I'm sure cause their own troubles. There is also something called "Christian terrorism", which is "religious terrorism executed with the intent of 'propagating the faith': furthering Christian beliefs, principles, or practices by disseminating information and sanctioning convictions often through aggressive use of force, extreme violence, harassment, and intimidation."

Yes, Christians haven't gone to the point to target a economical structure in a major country, but extremists exist in all religions. I think it's unfair to point out just one religion that is moreso scrutnized by the media and say "who else pulls the same bullshit?".

Pakman's race example actually makes sense. Taking it into context, the media portrays the "black male" to be the primary cause of crime in the United States. Does that mean that because a portion of the black community does this, no males of other races pull the "same bullshit"? Does it mean all black males are like that?

Exactly. The media is what makes people like Blacks, Hispanics, and Middle Easterns look like the enemies of the United States.

Sorry, but you're way off base with this conclusion. You live in Houston, so obviously you're familiar with Enron. Maybe you've had some bad experiences with black people, but when you compare stealing a few small things, to the BILLIONS of dollars Enron stole, you tell me who causes more bullshit?

What's the difference? Enron is a company who's decisions are made by a small group, on the board of directors. The majority of them were white.

You're generalizing about black people causing the most b.s., which I don't agree with.

You're being a complete hypocrite. You don't like people generalizing muslims, yet you want to generalize black people?

Don't let a few jackasses have such an influence on you. There's always going to be a bad group of individuals, but they don't represent an entire race or culture.

I'm not generalizing black people. I was just trying to show XSV why he was wrong. Because many people I know dislike black people like that, and the same happens the other way around, many Americans dislike Muslims because of few people.

My point of that post was why people dont like black people sometimes and thats wrong, and thats what XSV was doing - GENERALIZING. No, I have nothing against black people. Infact; at school, I have more black friends than other races.

So are you saying this is true or false?

This is what I've been trying to say throughout this thread.

Pakman, it really is unfair to point out a certain group of people who are doing wrong. We really shouldn't single out those individuals. It's the society as a whole that contributes to these crimes. White people cause the same amount of trouble as black people, the same goes for brown people. I think we can agree that the media influences people's decisions and thoughts about a certain group. They give names such as "Islamists" and "Islamic Terrorists". Did anyone call the Virginia Tech shooter an "Asian Terrorist"?

Why add the word "Islam" in front? Just because the people causing terror are Muslims? What if it were Jews or Christians? "Jewish Terrorists" or "Christian Terrorists"? Would that be fair?

Overall, its a peaceful religon as all religons are. However, I find there are some things I don't agree with, such as "an eye for an eye." Also, I think (hopefully someone can confirm if this is true or not) that the Qu'ran says that if you make it to heaven, you'll get 72 virgins?

Islam like any religion is something that needs to be studied in a historical context to understand certain passeges throughout the Quran....learning about the life of Mohammed explains a lot.....at least it did to me when I considered myself a Muslim.

^^^for different reasons...I didn't agree with the Quran 100%...don't get me wrong I was in somewhat of a peaceful state over the time period when I was learning about Islam and when I was actually a muslim, but my spiritual intuition just said it wasn't for me.

I'm guessing if people were actually killed for leaving Islam in U.S., they would probably go to jail.
