I think that Marco Benelli would be there at 23 and Tucker would be gone by pick 20, or even Sean Williams a good center.
I don't like the Tucker pick. Isiah said himself he's looking for the player with the most potential since the #23 pick likely won't log many minutes. Tucker is similar to Balkman in the sense they are both used primarily for their defense. Tucker also won't be a good shooter on this level. So, at the end of the day, we're going to have a 23-year-old undersized (some list him at 6'5") SF rotting on the inactive list. Defense is our main concern but our interior defense is our glaring concern. The perimeter defense is bad, but Marbury, who plays most of the game, and Collins, who will definitely log more minutes next season, have played great defense last season. I think a more realistic pick is Belinelli. I've never seen Isiah draft an international player, but the Knicks don't have a consistent shooter. They have volume shooters - Q-Rich, Crawford and Nate. A consistent shooter will definitely spread out the floor for Curry and for our guards' penetration game. Belinelli is one of the best shooters in Europe and arguably the entire draft. Marbury himself said he wants the Knicks to draft a good shooter. Another option is Almond, who impressed the Knicks in training camp. Daequan Cook is also another option just because Isiah said he wants a guy with potential and Cook has that.
