Rumor: Kobe Caught on Cell "F'ing" Bynum, Kupchack.

Take this for what it is.

A drunken guy on the radio called in and claimed he had a video of Kobe foulmouthing and bitching about Kupchak and Bynum etc. According to this guy, at some point in the video, he says something like, "get ready to get your Bulls jersey".

The guy and his friend are trying to sell the video and claim to have a bid at $25K. You can email them at kobevideoguys@gmail.com.

    Just thought I'd share.

If this is indeed true, .things may have reached boiling point. Do I blame Kobe for this? No because he didn't make these comments public and I'm willing to bet $1,000 to anybody here who thinks another star player doesn't bad mouth another player on their team in private. Is it Kobe's fault somebody recorded him? No. If indeed it is Kobe on the tape, then I'm 100% confident that him or Bynum will be traded. Bynum isn't going to want to play with Kobe and vice versa, especially after this. There has been a lot of heat about Kobe going to the Bulls since Friday, with Steve Hartman reporting an offer on the table for Kobe involving Deng, Gordon, and the 9 pick. Maybe it does have some weight to it, after all?

The fact that it is a drunken guy who just a voice clip is very, very suspicious. I doubt it's true, but if it is...so what? Kobe's saying the same thing most fans are saying.

I can't really blame Kobe either. The media these days is just so intrusive, that these stars stand no chance of escaping it. This'll really F things up though, if its true.

Its probably fake and some guy just trying to get easy money. Kobe would say things in private but recording it would be invasion of privacy don't you think?

I think it's a joke, personally. The guy who called in was drunk, he loses a lot of credibility right there.

Secondly, so what, if it is true? MJ called Kwame a pu**y many times, he punched Kerr, he publicly bad mouthed Pippen and Horace when he first retired, saying he was sick of carrying their asses late in the game. Shaq and Kobe had their fueds, star players with a desire to win have their differences, this is no different.

    Oh GOD...

I SERIOUSLY, SERIOUSLY hope people don't acutally buy into this kind of garbage.

    Just utter garbage.

Feel so sorry for the dumb shmuck who's going to shell out $25K for this crap.

Those who have heard it say it's real and it's def. Kobe on the tape. This is going to be interesting.! whether the guy who called in was drunk or not is totally irrelevant - - they played the audio on the radio and it sounds exactly like Kobe.... that's not something you can manufacture easily

I don't know, Kobe's voice isn't unique. I don't think it would be that hard if you knew someone who sounded like Kobe.

Either way, because it's Kobe and because it's L.A. media, this will get way blown out of proportion. Personally, I don't give a damn if he said it...I wouldn't give a damn if Nash said it for one reason. It was in private, if the story is true and the guy caught Kobe on cell phone in the grocery store, then that's snooping into his privacy. If Kobe said it to the media ala Jordan, then I'd have a problem with it.

It's obviously a joke. Stuff like this happens all the time. Or maybe who knows they might be scammers who are looking for some greenhorn to ship them $100k. If it was true wouldn't you think that Kobe himself would just cover that measly 25k instantly?

    Let me play devil's advocate.

What if he does want to get out of L.A., there is no way in hell he'd cover that 25K, it's his best shot at getting out.

Point taken and I see where you're going with it. He certainly wouldn't go back to the main stream media to get his point across again. If it's true, can we really blame Kobe for taking the back alley out if it? Not really, they did lie to him after all, and even though we are in the written contract age, some people still believe ones Word to be good as Gold--even in business. If Buss and Co really thought they could workhorse Kobe to sell tickets while they rebuild behind his back then they deserve whatever they have coming.

I was just watching Criss Angel's Mind Freak and one of the guys he had on the cam sounded exactly like Kobe. Not kidding.

C'mon. Kobe's voice isn't that hard to manufacture as much as anyone's.

Just ask SNL's Darrell Hammond. He could probably do Kobe's voice as well as he does everyone else.

I remember reading a magazine at the dentists office one day that had an article about a few scientists that basically said it's not that hard to digitize a person's voice given that they have 1-2 hours of recordings to input into the program. Then like any text-voice application, the program plays back what you type or say into it as that persons voice.

I heard this while I was driving home last night. Jeremy and his cousin are the two people with the alleged video tape. One of their neighbors actually called in and said they're two drunks who sit in the back of their pickup truck and drink beers all day. He said Jeremy is paranoid about the video and thinks someone is going to try and steal it from his home.

Why is Kobe foul mouthing his own players hard to believe? It happens a lot, that is what happens when you're attitude is to win and your teammates don't have the same mentality. Jordan did it, Shaq did it, why does Kobe get a pass?
