My dad and uncle put our names in the lottery for tickets for the first round of next year's NCAA Tournament since it's in Tampa. I didn't get my hopes up but today my uncle called and said we got eight tickets. We get to go to two days worth of games (I think it's a Friday and Sunday?) and it's guaranteed that we'll see either the first or second seed in our bracket play. I'm pretty pumped because I've never been to any games of the tournament before.
Let me tell you, there's nothing I enjoy more in the world than the NCAA Tournament. It's like my Christmas day. You'll love it, seeing all the different teams and different NBA prospects, and seeing the eight or so different fan sections for the teams in your field. It's always cool to see a gym that is one eigth Kansas fans, one eighth Florida fans, one eight Michigan State fans, etc.
Congrats man, sounds sweet. I was going to go to the Sacramento 1st & 2nd round last year but I had baseball tournament those days, so I didn't get to go. It should be sweet, but I don't think that a #1 or #2 would be guaranteed to play there yet.
NCAA tournament is absolutely amazing. Especially the Final 4. Hopefully the Gators are good enough to where they can get home court playing in Tampa.(not likely, but stranger things have happened)
Congrats man! I went last year (like a whole year ago) and it was incredible. I got to see Florida, Nova, BC, and Georgetown. Too bad the tourney isn't having any games in Minnesota for like the next five years...
I may be a different type of fan but I prefer to watch the games on TV......better food, better facilities, DVR has rewind/FF capabilities, don't have to deal with walking and parking issues, etc I've been to all the rounds of the games and would tell everyone I know that they should go at least once to see what it is like. The first round games are definetly great to watch on TV since there are four games going on.
