They have Gasol and they are going to draft one of Al Horford or Brandan Wright. They also have Warrick and Stromile on the bench.

Maybe we could trade for one of those 2?

POB for Warrick or a sign + trade with Pietrus for Warrick.

If that doesn't work, Sarunas for Stromile.

Outside of Splitter, I don't see any options to play PF in the draft.

You guys really don't want Stromile Swift. He's a complete cancer and has no work ethic. I'm shocked the Grizzlies bought him back from Houston in the Battier trade, because his tenure here was tumultuous to say the least. Warrick, on the other hand, has a great attitude and work ethic, but he doesn't have that promising of a career as an NBA player. He just lacks a position. He put up good numbers when Gasol was out at the beginning of the season, but that was basically because Mike Fratello was a moron and kept running the offense through the four spot, even with no Gasol out there. At the end of the day though, he's too small and skinny to be servicable defensively in the post, and he really lacks any post moves, even at 24 years of age. Throughout his entire collegiate career and his first few seasons in the league, he relied far too much on his athleticism and his length to get the easy transition buckets and put backs, but in a structured offense, he's pretty much a liability. I love his character though.

If the Warriors wanted to hit up the Grizzlies for one of their post players, I think they'd be the most successful in getting Gasol. He's young, but he's still not as young as the Grizzlies current core of players. It seems like they're building for a future around guys like Lowry, Gay, and Horford/Wright, instead of one with Gasol. He has retracted his trade demands, but it's still a foregone conclusion around town that he's not going to be in a Grizzlies uniform for much longer. I know the Warriors love Beans, but if you guys were to offer the Grizzlies a package with maybe Beans, O'Bryant, your draft pick, and one of your huge, worthless salaries as a cap filler, then I can see a deal going down.

Sarunas for Stromile. Why would the Grizzlies do this trade. I know Stro isn't that good but Sarunas is really only a shooter and won't probaly help out the Grizzlies that much.

POB for Warrick or a sign + trade with Pietrus for Warrick.

I don't really want to give up POB in this trade. I know he was a bit raw this year, but it was his rookie year and didn't see much action. I wouldn't mine doing the Pietrus thing. Pietrus made some very stupid mistakes that he should make at this level of the game. He would be a great player if he was as smart as Mike Dunleavy.

Sarunis expires....Swift costs more, sucks, won't expire as soon

As noted above-Warrick is not the answer as a PF--yet would help until a pick develops some. We do need to let POB get some real minutes before we jump to any conclusions.
