Hello, if you remember, im from Chile Today i watch some spanish webs, and they said: 1. Kobe went to Barcelona's training, to watch some soccer. Remember that Kobe lives 2 years in Italy. 2. Why is Kobe in Spain? Because Shammond Williams invite him. 3. The most important thing. This web (www.marca.es) said that Kobe went to Gasol's house to invite him to join Lakers. In my oppinion, Gasol is an excellent player, very young and talented. I prefer Gasol than O'Neal. See you Sorry for the english. Here is the link http://www.marca.com/edicion/marca/305/nba...lo/1006215.html
I don't see Memphis dealing Gasol for anything that the Lakers have outside of Kobe. Gasol is definitely a better player than JO.
Actually O'neal would be better but Gasol would be a nice addition to the Lakers. Your english is okay just practice a little more lol
Gasol will be a nice player to add to the the Lakers and younger than Jermaine O'neal an better than him.I think Kwame and Bynum for Gasol works, but Gasol has like a five year contract with Memphis thats huge. P.S Could somebody fix talk it's spell wrong.
Gasol is a better and more reliable player now then JO, not to mention he's younger. He doesn't miss the same amount of time as JO does. Jermaine hasn't even come close to playing a full season in his last 3 years. Not to mention Gasol has never shot more than 15 shots a game in a season and he still puts up 20 ppg. He shoots a way higher percentage and he's a much better passer(triangle and playing alongside Kobe you need guys that can pass). While JO is better on defense, Gasol isn't that bad, he avgs close to 2 bpg. <div class="quote_poster">lakersfan171 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Gasol will be a nice player to add to the the Lakers and younger than Jermaine O'neal an better than him.I think Kwame and Bynum for Gasol works, but Gasol has like a five year contract with Memphis thats huge. JO has a players option, but why would he get out of a deal that will pay him 20 mil a year for the next 3 years? Also why would you give less for Gasol then you would for Jermaine. I'm sure you would give up more plus have to take on guys contracts such as Stromile Swift and/or Brian Cardinal. Gasol isn't really on the trade block like JO is. Honestly I don't think you could get Gasol, you don't have enough assets. The only thing I can think of is something like Odom, Bynum, Kwame, potential fillers, #19, and possibly another future 1st for Gasol, Cardinal, and Stro Show.

Gasol would be a tremendous upgrade for the Lakers. Just imagine him getting all the touches Kwame was getting. Gasol shot well above 50% from the field and is an underrated shot blocker. However, I think Gasol likes the direction Memphis is taking. They hired Iavoroni as the head coach, so he will run his offense the way Phoenix runs. It's an open court offense, which Gasol thrives in. The Lakers would have to involve a 3rd team to get a deal done, because I don't think we have enough to acquire him.
