Okay, honestly, I'm a huge Kobe Bryant fan, but he needs to REALLY shut the **** up, for lack of a better expression.
Yes, okay, I understand he is frustrated.
Yes, the management is on a different page than he is.

But, if you're going to make a trade demand, STICK WITH IT, and when you open your mouth, make it final. It's one thing to rescind your trade demand once, but to withdraw it repeatedly and than say you want to be traded repeatedly is not only annoying, but embarrasing for yourself, the city and the franchise.

I was checking ESPN and they reported again that he hinted at wanting to be traded on his website. So, does he wanted to be traded? Or is he going to come back in two days on that same site and say he wants to be a Laker for life? It seems like Kobe's just trying not to make the LA fans hate him. He needs to realize that it's not the LA fans that hate him, but rather the fans of other teams (unless he gets traded to thier team of course). Kobe needs to say "I want a trade and that's it, it's final" and shut up until he is traded or until the next time something unfolds within the Lakers roster, because right now, he just looks like a attention-seeking whore (for lack of a better expression).

    Sorry for the rant.

Haha, I was expecting one of these threads to be posted sooner or later. Kobe is the best player in the league today, but it doesn't give him the right to get all emotional day after day. I know his team isn't great, but he needs to stick with one decision. I applauded him with his decision at first to tell the management he wants to be traded, to send them a message. But after the 3rd time it got really annoying. Trade me, don't trade me. I heard more about Kobe then the NBA Finals, and that says alot. Like you said Karma, Kobe really needs to shut the **** up. The off season just started. There is still a long ass way to go. I don't want to hear about Kobe Bryant for every single day of it.

You know at the beginning of this entire fiasco I was actually on Bryants side. Now I'm not too sure anymore.

Lakers fan before Kobe. Lakers fan after Kobe. I'm a huge fan of Kobe Bryant, but if he is willing to turn his back on his supporters and fans, then so be it. His heart obviously lies somehwhere else than LA, but mine will stay true to Lakerland.

I've been a fan during the good times. I've been a fan during the bad times. Purple and Gold forever! With or without Mr. Bryant. Bottomline.

I'm just as tired as you are with all this BS. I'll be cheering for purple and gold when the season starts and thats enough for me.

The thing about Kobe being traded is that I think he really deserves to be traded, given the situation he finds himself stuck in. If you're lied to to that extent and commit yourself to an organization but aren't provided the adequate help you were promised, you esentially becoming a puppet on a string, just making money for your organization while not being able to win jack-**** (see Garnett, Kevin).

However, Kobe is giving himself MORE reasons to be hated with this whole thing, and he's making himself look quite vulnerable. It's not even about Jerry West anymore, it's not even about getting more help, he apperently just wants to leave. If he really wants to leave, then he should say it clearly, what is he afraid of? He has already made everything public, so if he really wants to make it official that he wants a trade, then he should schedule a press conference and just get it overwith.

Kobe needs to stop hinting at one thing one day and something else the next; he needs to stop making his supporters anxious; stop making Laker fans sweat, and most importantly, stop making himself look like a little prick.

I understand where your rant is coming from, right now I don't know what Kobe is thinking. But, I plan on not listening to any more rumors or insiders till something officially happens. There has been Drama around the Lakers from the very first time I have watched them play. So, let the drama continue and just wait till the season starts.

They said Lakers could possibly trade him on draft day, if he gets traded, I expect either Bulls or NY to take him. But seriously, he needs to stick to what he is saying. Now, I will break my T.V. if he agains says he wants to stay. Really annoying....

im glad that someone started this topic because i certanly couldnt. as a laker fan i feel cheated by the players, and the management, the only people i am not feeling negativley towards are phil jackson, ronny turiaf and jordan farmar. these three lakers are true lakers, not greedy, spoilt brats like kobe or underachieving players like odom, bynum and kwame. i would actually love to see bryant traded know that i think about it, if we could get either gordan or deng plus noci and the 9th pick and thabo or tyrus we could easily make up for the lack of scoring, which it seems all we would be missing if we do infact trade kobe away, plus we add youth and playoff experience with these players, along with good defense and all are hard workers who dont complain, if we made this trade i think we could still make playoffs, and once we pick up a good center we could be contenders. maybe.

You need to understand that you shouldn't believe everything you hear or read. I know he said he wanted to be traded and then pulled out again, but since then, as per usual the media have been making up rumours about him wanting to leave and then stay. Until he say's something himself, and by that I don't mean undercover code language interpreted from his website, leave it how it is where it was last - "I love the lakers and I want to stay here until I retire."

I don't agree that he's flip flopped as much as the media has said he has. He has expressed that as long as the Lakers have a mediocre roster, he unfortunately has to be traded.

I've also heard, that no matter who the Lakers trade for, Kobe still wants to get traded. Well guess what, that makes no ****ing sense and is just an example of why people need to calm down and stop listening to rumors.

Kobe did not flip-flop on Sunday night btw.

Right when people were starting to like Kobe again...[IMG]

I heard on Insidehoops that Kobe is in some sort of video with fans asking him questions and he insults Bynum and curses at the camera talking about the Lakers and how they messed up not trading Bynum for Kidd earlier in the season.

It's not a freakin' different voice, let go of Kobe man, he doesn't want to be here. He's made it obvious. It's been confirmed by ESPN, Hoopshype, am570. It's a legit tape homie, you need to let go of Kobe being a Laker.

Was that Kobe? Or was it someone wearing a Kobe mask, masks can look pretty realistic these days. [IMG]
