Don't be surprised to see them offering Drew Gooden , and he could end up with the Bulls, reuniting with college teammate Kirk Hinrich. Gooden, not Nick Collison, is the fellow former Kansas player more likely to join Hinrich. The Heat's lack of youth and athleticism has been exposed, and the Pistons clearly are in some form of transition, with general manager Joe Dumars saying he would address the apparent complacency of their players. </div> Chicago Tribune
If we do acquire Gooden I pray to god he shaves the pubic hair on he back of his neck. On a serious note though, I would not mind adding Gooden to the team if the price is right. However, I wouldn't lose sleep if a deal did not take place. I really get the feeling that Paxson and Skiles want to give Tyrus some more playing time at the power forward position next year, it doesn't seem as though they are going to make a blockbuster deal for a power forward at this point.
Oh hell no, I just can't see this guy on this club. I donno why, it isn't like I think he sucks or anything. I'd just rather go for a better scoring option in the paint then Gooden.
He'd probably have to cut that patch of hair because the Bulls obviously don't allow players to wear headbands, if he kept it, it would just look worse. But, I wouldn't mind having him, he's another great offensive rebounder that allows crashes the boards on the offensive end, he also has a nice mid-range shot.
I say if the price is low take him, but if it isn't why bother. With the 9th pick, you can get a player like Hawes or Noah who are gonna be better then Gooden, have a better hair cut (Noah is border line) and are young and ready to go.
