33 yards wide right, followed by a 32 yarder wide right. I know it's only pre-season but come on, you're supposed to be the most accurate kicker of all time and you can't hit TWO GAME WINNING CHIP SHOTS? If this crap continues during the season then they need to cut his a$$.
Hey Colts fans, was he ever this bad during any of Indy's pre-season games? If so then I'll feel better about him stepping it up for the season.

He's injured. There's been talk of Parcells cutting him for two weeks now.

He's been battling quad and groin injuries for weeks. Check sportsline.com or any currently updated fantasy football website.

At first I thought both he and T.O. were over exaggerating their "injuries". But I guess in Vanderjagt's case it might be true. For his sake I hope it is because there's no other excuse for missing two gimmie's like he did last night.

This is why Parcells is going to keep shaun schwisham. for kickoffs and maybe to kick field goals until vanderjagt find his form again.

I believe I just heard the NFL Network say that the Cowboys gave Vanderjagt 2 million dollars as a signing bonus. I think that's going to make it difficult for the Cowboys to cut him.

    Idiot kicker.

It is doubtful they will cut him, but between Suisham's performance and Vandy's, there will likely be two kickers kept. If you listened to Mick Spagnola over the last couple weeks, Vandy has been hurting and not kicking much at all. In fact, when he has actually kicked in practice, it looks like he wasn't following through. He was more punching it, to protect his injury. This was before last night, so it was no secret. It was just that the national media was focusing on Owens so much.

Vandy is just a weird duck anyway. He's never cared much about anything unless it was important, but I'm sure he got an ear-ful last night. I just hope it doesn't start getting into his head after last year's playoff miss.

Is it me, or does New England always seem to land on its feet like a cat. Vanderjagt goes to Dallas and acquires the Cowboys kicker hex. Vinatieri goes to Indy and breaks his foot. The Patriots draft a rookie kicker and he hits a huge FG. They suck (yes, I am just jealous).

A rookie kicker hits a big field goal in the preseason (is there such a thing?) and people think that he has replaced Adam Vinatieri? The same Adam Vinatieri who has been nailing clutch and bad weather kicks year after year? I'm sorry but it's going to take more than one preseason kick for me to think that the Patriots have replaced perhaps the greatest kicker I've ever seen play.

Vinatieri is a great clutch kicker, but for my money David Akers ia a better kicker overall.
