If the Rockets would be stupid enough to accept that deal, then the Lakers must pull the trigger. *mumbles something about "or else...*

Dear god, if this offer is out there, Mitch would be dumb not to do this. It seems like a no-brainer....but this is Mitch and co. we're talking about, and we've seen how great of decision-makers the front office is.

The rockets just got james remember? So they have three points with alston, james, and head but no PF so this could be true. And brian cook would help them space the floor really well with his outside shot.

wel calm down guys luther head aint the point gaurd we need, though he is an improvement, he doesnt address our needs. we need a playmaker, someone who can control our offense and provide some great passing skills, luther head is not the player who could do that. i think he would be great to get for cook, but i would only use him as a backup point, which now that i think about it would be pretty good, except that would almost eliminate farmar.

There's nothing to contemplate, I'd just assume cut Brian Cook. I still can't believe they gave him $3M per season.

Luther Head gives us a legitimate outside shooter. I'd rather him take those open 3's than Sasha or Mo Evans.

Head played with Van Gundy and also was part of the Orange Crush Zone defense at Illinois. He understands the importance of defense, and won't be a liability out on the perimeter.

Adelman sees Cook as another CWebb in his high post offense.

Never compare CWebb to Cook ever again. The Lakers should definitely due this trade and upgrade that horrible PG spot. Well, Farmar isn't horrible it's that other guy [IMG]

Also, I didn't even know what this thread was about until I read like the 3 post.[IMG]

I think its a fair trade considering we're stocked on PG (or, short players atleast) ...
I think you guys are making it out to be a trade that gives the Lakers a BIG advantage because you guys need a player like Head. We need someone like Cook, we need a PF who has range.

A big advantage it is, you have obviously not seen Brian Cook play. Don't let his shooting misguide you, he often has terrible nights where he shoots far too many times and bricks them. He's also a bad rebounder, slow as all hell and no defensive game. He also has a piss poor attitude. Houston would be more than stupid to take this deal.
