If you could choose 1 thing that you would like to see each player improve on during this offseason, name it (thread idea taken from GatorsownNCAA). Malik Allen- Martynas Andriuskevicius (FA)- P.J. Brown (FA)- Luol Deng- Chris Duhon- Ben Gordon- Adrian Griffin- Kirk Hinrich- Viktor Khryapa- Andres Nocioni (FA)- Thabo Sefolosha- Michael Sweetney (FA)- Tyrus Thomas- Ben Wallace-
Malik Allen-hit your jump shots more consistently since thats what ur getting paid to only do. Ben Gordon-defense, less turnovers, consistency, and not averaging a trip per game. Sorry but I couldnt list just one thing for him to improve on. lol i love Gordon on the team but he really has to improve in these areas. Thabo Sefolosha-confidence Ben Wallace-free thows Everyone else im ok with.
Malik Allen- I think the main thing Allen needs to do is work on his post moves some more, he is money from mid range, whenever he gets playing time I always see him going to the elbow of the free throw line, or the baseline and hitting that mid range shot with consistency. However, I rarely see him use his size to post people up. Martynas Andriuskevicius (FA)- He is still extremely raw, his major injury last season didn't help his development. I think the main thing Marty needs to focus on is getting healthy period. Basketball is just a game, he should not sacrifice his long term health for it. P.J. Brown (FA)- I'm one of those people who believes that PJ will either re-sign with the Bulls or retire. At this point of his career he is obviously on the decline, but if he does come back I think he needs to work on being more consistent for this team. I remember the playoff game against the Pistons where he had 23 points in the first half and zero in the second. Luol Deng- Deng needs to work on his ball handling skills, and his three point shot. As soon as Deng becomes a legit threat from three point range, and develops a go to move to get to the basket he will be unstoppable. Chris Duhon- Chris just needs to keep his confidence up. There were rumors last season that he might have been suffering from some depression during that stint when he was overtaken in the lineup by Thabo. If he is back in a Bulls uniform next year, he just has to believe in his ability on the court. Ben Gordon- Passing in general, but mostly out of the double team. Gordon was atrocious during the Pistons/Heat series when he was forced to pass out of double teams. It was disgusting to watch. Adrian Griffin- N/A Kirk Hinrich-Consistency....Hinrich struggled this season playing at home, which is surprising because usually players struggle on the road. However, Hinrich needs to close the gap between his play on the road Vs. play at home this year. Viktor Khryapa- Khyrapa needs to play more under control. When he was getting playing time, he often tried to do too much on the court, imo. Andres Nocioni (FA)- Just stay healthy, he was injured the entire second half of the season last year, and it caught up to him in the playoffs. Thabo Sefolosha- Consistency. Sefolosha has the potential to be huge for us next year if he just plays up to his ability night in and night out. Michael Sweetney (FA)- Lose 35 pounds and become more aggressive. Tyrus Thomas- Work on mid range jumper, if he is going to be taking those shots lets hope he practices them during the summer and is able to knock down at least one of them this year. Ben Wallace- Free throws...
Malik Allen- Just get more playing time because he has a nice jumper. Martynas Andriuskevicius (FA)- Add some weight if possible. P.J. Brown (FA)- Work on your left hand because last season he often used it and always missed his left handed hooks. Luol Deng- Ball handling, he usually just dribbles once or twice and takes a jumper. Also his three point shot. Chris Duhon- Work more on his three point shooting consistency. Ben Gordon- Passing, ball handling, defense, all needs a lot of improvement. Kirk Hinrich- Being aggressive and taking the shot when it's there. Also his consistency as Blur pointed out. Viktor Khryapa- Relax on the court when he gets playing time. Maybe get a little quicker if possible. Andres Nocioni (FA)- Get healthy. Hopefully he doesn't turn the ball over everytime he gets the ball like in the playoffs. Thabo Sefolosha- Offensive game, work a little more on his 3's because he was taking more and more as the season closed. Michael Sweetney (FA)- Maybe lose some weight so he can stay on the floor and get some playing time. Also learn how to make easy lay-ups .. or just dunk the ball. Tyrus Thomas- Needs to add a lot more muscle... also develop a jumpshot pleaseee, he would get a lot more playing time if he had a jumper. Basically develop more offense then dunking every time. Not that he shouldn't dunk when it's available. Post moves would also be nice. Ben Wallace-
Luol Deng will never develope a three point shot simply because Skiles doesn't want that to be a part of his game at all. Huge story on that before the previous season in Chicago, but I'm quite sure you can find it online. As for Tyrus Thomas and Thabo Sefolosha, you can add free throw improvement to their needs as well because both are horrible. Sorry I can't write out my own at the moment, but I'm quite busy since returning home.
Deng - Legit post up game. He is bigger and longer than most small forwards in the league and he should take advantage. We can use him more in the post than out on the wing around the 3 point line. If Deng gets a 3pt shot he'll likely be less aggressive going to the basket which is bad. We need him to be someone that demands double teams and can draw fouls.

That part of his career is dead and for good reason.
