VITALS: 6-10, 240, Duke OVERVIEW: Only one of two players to be named a captain at Duke as a sophomore. Named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference second team and the All-Defensive Team in his second year. Had a career-high 22 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks in a first-round loss to Virginia Commonwealth in the NCAA Tournament. Grabbed a career-best 17 rebounds and scored 15 points against San Jose State. Named to the All-ACC Freshman Team after averaging 8.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 36 games. Led Blue Devils in field goal percentage (.605) during freshman year. Named the National High School Senior Athlete of the Year in 2005. LIKELY DRAFT POSITION: 16-25 COMPARATIVE UPSIDE: Jason Collins COMPARATIVE DOWNSIDE: Pat Burke ROLE PROJECTION: Backup power forward. POSITIVES: It's almost a cliche when talking about Duke players, but McRoberts has an analytical approach to the game. He thinks about what is the right play to make and tries to execute it. He has excellent passing skills in the high post and strong moves around the basket. He will compete for rebounds and is willing to be a pick-setter and ball-mover. He has the ability to stay on the floor for a long time, then go up late and still get the blocked shot.
I love his game he's a still steal if he's projected that late... Ive been watching Duke games since his rookie year and he keeps improving too bad he didnt have a good point guard there to get him the ball.
I really don't understand how Jason Collins is an upside. It would be hell for another team to draft a "new" Collins. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">He has excellent passing skills in the high post and strong moves around the basket.
