<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Nenad Krstic has been home in Serbia the last few weeks, still rehabbing, still working out with a local trainer paid by the Nets. This weekend, though, he returns to run a basketball camp and begin testing his knee. The big man, whose loss left a big hole in the team, will be working out first with the youngsters at his camp, then traveling and working out--but not playing--with the Nets summer league team in Orlando. Progress will be critical to whether the Nets choose to extend his contract this summer or next. </div> Source
All we need from Krstic is to come back healthy and play the way he did before he was injured, or even better. I hope he develops a post game, gets better on the defensive side, and becomes a better rebounder. Man, I wish he comes back and gives us 14 and 10 every night. That would be better than his current 17 and 7.
I honestly don't expect much from Krstic anymore. The only part of his game that is very good is his outside shooting. His defense is so-so and I don't expect it to improve much. His rebounding is also so-so with no signs of improvement. I agree that he will help the team when healthy, but not to the point where the team can go over the top and win the championship. The best hope of the Nets is to pick up a "sleeping" big man in the draft who can become a difference maker.
