Hello, I'm sure many of you read Arash's piece on the Kobe Video. He was 1 of only 2 people who saw it. He also claimed he heard the audio clip they have. He writes in his article: A week later the duo again ran into Bryant in Newport Beach, after he had made his trade demands public, and pulled out a cell phone and recorded one of them telling Bryant, "Please tell us you're staying." Bryant responded by saying, "Get a Bulls uniform fellas." As I walked out of the bookstore after watching and listening to the combined 30 seconds of footage Now I am friends with the Kobe Video Guys and they told me Arash NEVERRR EVER heard the audio, after all they claim the audio itself is 20 seconds long and if he heard it Arash would have written about the F bombs he also drops on Dr. Buss which is on the audio, something that has never been heard before by any media outlet. Arash Markazi is a fraud. He consciously constructed lies throughout his piece. How can he say he heard the "COMBINED" footage, when the combined footage is over 44 seconds long, yet he claims its only 30. Either Arash is a liar or a junior high dropout who can't do MATH! I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and grant him the former. Arash has betrayed all norms of journalistic proffessionalism. He claimed he heard something which he did not, and lied about how long the thing he never heard was. Once the audio is released and everyone of you sees its over 20 seconds long, you can all remember it was Arash Markazi of SI who lied. Arash called his article "Underground Kobe film ain't all it's cracked up to be." Maybe its his lies that arent all they are cracked up to be. The oppurtunist and fraudster probably figured with my lies I can get press box seats at the lakers games. PLEASE TELL YOUR FRIENDS TO BEWARE OF THIS FRAUDSTER! THIS WOLF IN SHEEPS CLOTHING. THIS LIAR PARADING AROUND AS A JOURNALIST! I got this as an email from the Kobe Video Guys, and I dunno what to say, when Arash Markazi was on the Joe Macdonnel experiance I thought he was speaking the truth, can anyone try to buy the vid and tell us the real truth, I hope someone copies the vid and uploads it on youtube
Um, wear was the proof again? If it?s SI?s word against the KVG?s word I think I?ll take SI?s. At least Arash Markazi is confident enough in his story that he attaches his name and picture to it. Your friends, ?The Kobe Video Guys,? are nothing more than cowardly greedy opportunists who would do anything to hurt someone else?s reputation to make a buck without having the guts to reveal their own identities. So I?m supposed to believe some guys who?ve been called ?Slime balls? by the Los Angeles Times, ?Shameless Opportunists? by Sports Illustrated and ?Scum bags? by radio hosts on KLAC, just to name a few printable adjectives. So the combined time of the video and audio is 44 seconds and not 30 seconds. Wow! I?m guessing Arash wasn?t counting every precious second of the footage that was played for him at the book store. Who cares how long it was anyway and if a couple of choice words were left out? Eric Pincus from Hoops World describes the audio clip the same way Arash does. So I guess they?re both lying and the KVG are the real bastion for journalistic integrity. Maybe they can teach a journalism ethics class where they show students how to unsuccessfully pedal amateur videos to media outlets and/or use said tapes to extort money from organizations. (Oh yeah, by the way, what you?re friends did when they called the Lakers looking for a payoff for their tape was illegal.) They admitted that they recorded Kobe without him knowing about it and are now selling their footage online, unwilling to release the contents until they can put six-figures into their greedy pockets. We?re supposed to believe these guys? These ?wolves in sheeps clothing? who acted as if they were Kobe?s friends and then betrayed his trust by selling his candid conversations for their own profit. These ?liars parading around? as impartial parties who falsely claimed that they were offered $100,000 by some ?private party? just so they could have an excuse to set a threshold of 50,000 orders to ?recoup the $100,000 private party offer they turned down.? C?mon, if money meant so much to these leaches why wouldn?t they just make the fast cash and move on? It?s amazing how you could write a post on the KVG and use words like ?opportunist? and ?fraudster? and not be talking about the douche bags in question, but the reporter who was simply relaying information he heard and saw to the public for, and this is a new one, free! By the way, if the KVG are really your ?friends? why won?t they just play the video and audio for you, instead of making you pay for it and hope that someone else buys it an uploads it on Youtube? How can you be so quick to crucify a professional journalist and follow your so-called ?friends? when they won?t even play the video for you so you can make up your own mind as to who?s telling the truth. It looks like you?re the real sheep here.
Don't hate, they've already made more than $10,000. Dude, the video is real. They released a trailer on youtube, hoopshype confirmed it, am570 confirmed it. Why is it so hard to believe?
No one doubts the authenticity of the tape. We all know it?s real by now. Please re-read the thread above to see what the discussion was about. But I guess you?re right, you can't hate on cats trying to sucker people into paying for a shot clock's worth of footage that everyone's already read about by now.
Just heard the Kobe audio on the KVG site. The conversation lasts about 14 seconds, not over 20 as the KVG claim and it also does not include any F bombs on Dr. Buss as the KVG claimed as well. In fact you can't even tell if the guy is really Kobe. To be honest, the last audible thing "Kobe" says is "Get a Bulls uniform fellas." The "Dr. Buss is an idiot" line that was reported is hardly audible at all even after replaying it a few times. I'm not surprised SI and Hoops World only quoted the audible parts.
