McCarthy told 2nd round pick Greg Jennings that he would be the starting WR for the Pack when we play the Bears to open the season.

This guy has had an amazing camp and a great pre season.

I think he'll catch 40 passes for around 700 yards this year. I was high on him from the start and he's only going to get better.

You were the first one I heard predict it. Good call. I just wish there would of at least been some competition for him. He's basically a starter by default

Jennings has definately looked great, I think he'll be in the runnings for rookie of the year. He's a great compliment to Driver, and will help take the pressure off of him. If our line can hold up we should have a very good offense, with Driver and Jennings at WR, Franks and Martin at TE, Green and Henderson in the backefield, and of course, Favre behind Center.

He caught an 89 yard TD pass last night on Favre's only throw...

Jennings is actually leading all receivers in the pre-season with 328 yards receiving. Not too shabby...

Another 100+ yard (and a TD) performance for Jennings. If it weren't for the inevitable Reggie Bush bias, I'd say Jennings would have a shot at offensive rookie of the year if he keeps it up.

At least there's a bright spot for the Packers this year. Some of the young guys are looking really good.

Gennings could still win ROY. Bush hasn't had that great of a season. Right now Marooney is probably the front runner for that award...

Mauroney hasn't done more than Bush or Jennings, don't know how you come to that conclusion.

Maroney is on a winning team. Also, his performance has been very even so far (not to say the Jennings has not been). I'd be leaning towards Maroney for ROY.

Good call on Jennings - I actually picked him up in my keeper league. I look like a genius in that league as WR's were hard to come by.

Much easier for a RB to come into the NFL and have sucess than a WR. History shows not to many rookie WR's come in and play like Jennings has been. If he keeps up this pace he has a shot at it and as the year goes on Maroney will lose carries to Dillon I'm sure. It'll be a 3 way race that's for sure. There is a Reggie Bush bias and Maroney has had some great games but from what I've seen Jennings is the most consistent of the 3 so far. Bush is actually the most inconsistent of the 3 but he's due for a coming out game soon and that could change some minds.

He's one of the bright spots on my keeper league as well...along with Maroney and Kellen Winslow.

Ok there is one player that is being severely overlooked in the Offensive ROY race and it's mostly because Reggie Bush plays on his team. Marques Colston leads all rookies in receiving yards and TDs. I would vote for him right now if I had a vote in the race. Jennings would be 2nd and Maroney would be 3rd. Maurice Jones-Drew is going to be earning some votes as the season goes on as well.

Jennings' and Colston's numbers are identical right now. Very similar. Should be a nice race but it's far to early to tell.

    Hey Porky, whats up?

It's seems like rookies are having a higher impact for teams than in the past. We saw the numbers on rookie WR's before the season and they do not typically do a whole lot the first year. Several rookies at various positions are doing prettey well for their teams this year.

They rooks the Pack have gone with this year have all done a good job so far. We thought they might be a problem early on but it's the veterans on the team not making the plays we need to win games.

To see these guys perform this well this early bodes well for us. Their play speaks of their talent and ability to compete in this league. Once they have some PT under their belts we will hopefully start seeing more W's.
