Was listening to the Simers show this morning, and TJ asked Mitch a well worded question. He told Mitch he has an article due, and asked him if he there's anything he should wait on before he turns it in.

Mitch responded with this, "You might want to wait until later in the afternoon or sometime at night before you write your article."

On the Collin Coherd show, they mentioned KG is trying to find out from Kobe, if Kobe will remain a Laker if KG is dealt to LA.

Things are really starting to get interesting now. Personally, I don't know why Kobe wouldn't stay if the Lakers land KG. They automatically get better and very well could be a contender.

I don't think he would. And if he did, I'd mark him as one of the biggest idiots to ever play the game. But still, I don't think he'll leave the team if KG comes. Actually, I wouldn't be suprised if he has talked to KB about all of this.

Apparently, the backup plan is Zach Randolph if the Lakers fail to get KG. I'm not sure who we give up for Zach though.

This will make the draft really interesting. If the Lakers trade Bynum to Portland, do they still draft Oden, or did Durant impress them enough to convince them he should be the top draft pick?

The only reason I would see Kobe still wanting to leave is because of Jim Buss, as Shape, other Laker fans, and myself have all stated.

I've also heard that KG is trying to contact Kobe and see if he'll stay.

If Kobe leaves he is stupid you have a KG as a teammate and you still want to leave that will be the worst move ever.Plus Chicago has said there not going to trade for Kobe. What station where you listening Shape?

I think so too. I mean it could happen sooner but draft day is most likely. If it doesn't happen then then it most likely won't happen because the picks will have already been made and the expiring contracts will have lost their value. So basically the fate of the Lakers franchise and Kobe Bryants career will be determined in the next two days...What's it hinging on?????
