I think you accidently put the wrong player in the quote. It has Al Thornton's vitals.

If the Clippers are looking to draft a PG, I'd rather see them draft Javaris Crittenton out of Georgia Tech. I just don't like Acie Law as a PG in the league. The Clippers need a true PG with the never-ending health concerns of Cassell and Livingston's possible career ending injury. At best I think Law will be a scoring punch off the bench in the NBA. Hopefully Atlanta does the right thing and drafts Conley at the #3 spot, even if it may be a little too high for him. They need to address their needs with the best avalible selection, look at what drafting the "best player avalible" got them (Marvin Williams.) If they do draft Conley I see the Clippers drafting Crittenton at the #14 spot.

They have Crittenton going at 11th in the mock, so the Clippers wouldn't have the choice of picking him. I wouldn't mind the Clippers going after a SG to replace Mobley, but the PG position is obviously still a hole. Draft Nick Young if he's available, I suppose bring back Jason Hart, and have him and Sam whenever is there play PG, then try and trade someone for a PG. Maggette is still fairly decent trade bait.

Yeah but in the end I believe Atlanta will choose to go with Conley at the #3, which means there is a good chance Crittenton will slip to the 14th spot for them. I just can't see Atlanta making the same mistake again, they've done it too many times.

I'm truly not that big on the Clippers drafting a PG, I'd rather them take a nice athletic skilled SG type player as opposed to a PG. I don't know, but I'm not that big on the PG's in the first round outside of Conley.

I think the Clippers should get a wing, and then get a PG in the second round and see how that goes while having Cassell, Hart, and whoever else holding down PG for now.
