Can't argue with the selection of Green, considering if he could fall to us on Thursday. I'd actually consider moving our no. 21 (along with the no. 12) to get him, latest rumor on ESPN this afternoon was that we would trade with the Bucks who would get Acie Law at no. 12. Not sure how much truth there is to that, obviously it's probably the worst case scenario for the Bucks (Conley would have to be off the board).

Give me Green, and I'll be content for the rest of the draft.

I don't really follow college basketball, but Green sounds like a good player. A lot of mocks/player rankings have him ranked higher than the 12th pick, so I'd be satisfied if the 76ers ended up getting him. However I really wish this team could move up and get Horford, the best franchises start with a big man. Dalembert will never been better than a 10 ppg 8rpg type player, and doesn't Joe Smith play PF for the 76ers? I also think this team needs another PG...Andre Miller is getting up there, I'm not sure when he is a free agent, but I'm pretty sure he won't want to end his career in a place like Philly where he won't be able to contend.

Jeff Greens good and all, but how many times are the Sixers gonna draft an athletic SF? 2 years ago was Iggy, this year was Rodney Carney, now Jeff Green??

I'm with Venom. Move up and get a big man. If you cant do that get Acie Law to replace Andre Miller.

There's a huge difference between Jeff Green and Rodney Carney. For one, Carney was the sixteenth pick in arguably one of the weakest drafts in history, and Green is entering as potentially the fifth overall pick in the strongest class in years. Carney was suppose to display both defense and his long range this season for the Sixers, and he displayed neither. All he did was provide highlight reel dunks at times.

It was also disappointing to see Carney's lack of interest on the boards, with his leaping ability and his potential to grab some boards. He was quite possibly the worst rebounder in the league for a guy his size and with his leaping ability. Green will make his presence felt in the post, be physical, and grab boards, a huge reason why people consider him a SF / PF.

I've said it a number of times, but Carney came off the bench in Memphis during his Senior season and was very effective. If we draft a guy like Jeff Green or Nick Young, it could certainly mean Kyle Korver or Willie Green are on the move.

Philadelphia has made it clear that they're going to take the best player available at no. 12. That could be Acie Law, it could be Julian Wright, it could be a guy like Nick Young or Al Thornton.

Anybody else here feel that we should take Nick Young if we stay put at no. 12? To me, he's a consistent scorer over at USC which is exactly what we need. He put up over 17 points a game the past two years and really seems like a guy that could step in right away next to Iguodala and knock down the mid range jumper.

If we are going swing man, and Jeff Green is off the board I would take Thaddeus Young over Nick Young. I personally feel he has more upside then Nick does for the future. It will take him some time to develop, but considering we are in rebuilding mode right now we can wait for him to develop. I feel as though we should trade up and grab either Horford or address our point guard need by drafting Conley Jr.

Like others have said in this thread, we took Carney last year, I think we need to address another need this year. Although, Green is a tremendous talent (wouldn't complain about drafting him), he doesn't play a position we need to address. Trade up with the Bucks or the Bobcats if Conley Jr., Horford, and Wright are all off the board take Green.
