<u>Rumors Are False</u> <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Jun 27 - Despite reports to the contrary -- and this is, after all, the silly season -- Bryan Colangelo, the Raptors president and general manager, has no interest in trading Jose Calderon and is not shopping the nifty point guard. But shoot, if everyone is calling to trade for him, why not make the trade to move up in the draft? I mean the Raps already have Juan Dixon and a young TJ Ford. Why not trade Calderon?

Why not trade Calderon?</div> Probably because he's being lowballed or not receiving fair offers. If we dealt him, the point guard position would go from being our strongest point to somewhat iffy. From some of the things I've read, it'd only leave us worse off.
I'm still waiting for someone to call for TJ Ford. As Chutney said, I'd suspect that the offers are too low right now. Without Calderon I'd have serious concerns about the production of our second unit.
smoke-screen man..dont ever believe what GM's say. Last year at this time BC kept refering to Charlie as our core and untouchable. The next day, he gets traded for TJ. Jose will get traded if an offer that will help the raps fill up the SF spot is on the table. As for TJ-He has much more potential than JC and is untouchable. Give TJ a break man..he played well last season and will improve.
I dunno man, I started fresh on TJ at the beginning of the year but after watching this entire season I have by doubts. By all means he could turn out to be great but I don't think it's any sort of a fore drawn conclusion. I tend to think when it's all said and done TJ Ford will go down as a Jalen Rose type of player. The "I love your skills, but can you stick to the game plan?" type.

Keep Calderon in Toronto. Shop Dixon, Graham and TJ. I know TJ has this potential, but Calderon is so consistent while TJ can become very streaky and lose his head. The duo is amazing, but to give up one, give up TJ.
