A very close friend of mine who has sources with the MLSE just reported a few rumours: 1) Raptors will be setting up a green room in the draft 2) Kris Humpries will be actively shopped tommorow (Miami Heat have expressed interest in Humpries and BC is trying to trade KH for Heat's first round pick and an unknown player) 3) The chance of Jose being traded is 90% but Jose also might be traded tommorow at the draft (50% chance). BC is only going to trade him if he can get an SF who can help us right away. Apparently BC is not letting go of Josh Smith and is really interested in him. He has been talking to Billy Knight almost everyday and right now the offer on the table for the hawks is: Salim Stoudamire and Josh Smith in-exchange for Jose and Joey Graham and cash. 4) BC is also very interested in Thadeus Young and might be looking at acquiring him. 5) Sam Mitchell has expressed interest in Shane Battier and the raps are also talking to Houston. However, the asking price for Battier is too much and this trade is very unlikely. 6) The Hawks have offered their 11th pick to the raps for Jose. But BC rejected this trade.
Also, BC is very interested in Nocioni. It is very likely that the bulls will match the rap's offer however Delfino who is a close friend of Nocioni is trying to convince him to wear a raps jersey.
Wow.. if this was all happening, and BC found out who's leaking this, he/she would be gone in a second. I don't know why Delfino would convince Nocioni to come play in Toronto. That would take away his playing time would it not? <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> The chance of Jose being traded is 90% but Jose also might be traded tommorow at the draft (50% chance). </div> is it suppose to be not being traded?
I would love a Josh Smith and CB3 combo. The raps would be one of my favorite teams. Bryan Colangolo has a chance to really push this team in the right direction if he can swindle some trades by tomorrow.

If Josh Smith were to be traded to the Raptors for Calderon, they'd definately be more shaped to be a contender in the East.
Those are some interesting rumours, but I'll take them with a grain of salt at this point (no offense). There's just been so much written about the Raptors the last few days that its hard to believe anything right now. Colangelo did say on the radio, that there was a legitimate offer to get into the top 10 picks, but he felt they'd be giving away too much.
My god, the raps team got blown up last year and rebuilt, now if these rumors are true, BC is gonna blow it up again and start with a bunch of new players.....I know the core would be the same but you can't just interchange the rest of the team every year. You gotta build on last year, and trading Jose would be a mistake.
Usually, I'd lock a thread like this in a millisecond, just because I don't want to encourage others to follow suit with less credible sources, but I'm making an exception for you PLaTsanity due to your history with this forum and its mods. As for the proposed Josh Smith trade, I'd do it in the blink of an eye.
I think BC has to do a little better than Calderon and Graham for Stoudamire and Smith. But then again, it is the Hawks we're talking about. I think anytime you can get a guy like Josh Smith and only giving up one main player (who isn't even a starter), you have to do it. For all we know, Calderon might not even be back after this season. Seems like a lot of people are starting to overrate Calderon.
man i would love to have J-Smith on our team! He's the next step for the raps to get into championship level. However, I really doubt it that this trade will happen. I dont think BK is willing to get rid of J-Smith unless it bring him an allstar
Keep Calderon!! Unless a star is offered. He is a great back-up and him and Ford are a great duo. They will become one of the best 1-2 PG punches in the league. I just can't wait to FA starts. I just wanna see as soon as July 1st hits on TSN, "The Raptors have signed FA G. Wallace to a 2 year contract." Right then, I'll leave my house and sit on the subway until i get to the ACC and get a Wallace Jersey, or a mall, which ever.
