Who would fit us at 5? It's too high for Stuckey obviously. Maybe Corey Brewer? Either way, you would assume shopping Ray would mean management are confident in re-signing Rashard, as otherwise Durant would have to come in and be first option right off the bat. Losing both Ray and Lew would hardly be the best strategy for keeping the team in Seattle either.

Doesn't sound like the team has much confidence in Ridnour, I wonder if Mike Conley Jr. is the target at #5. His game is similar to Tony Parker, and if Presti is going to model the Sonics after the Spurs it makes sense you grab the TPizzle clone.
I really wouldn't care who the Sonics pick at #5 as long as they get rid of Ray Allen's fat contract. This seems unlikely, though, as beautiful as it would be.
If you are going to trade Ray Allen you have to get more value than Ratliff and the #5 pick. I suspected that Presti wouldn't be enamored with Ray's shoot first play defense last mentality but at the same time he has to realize that cap room and small markets don't necessarily coincide with each other. I still believe no matter who are GM is that we will never be able to lure an All-Star caliber free agent without offering a max deal. The Sam Presti era begins today and if he was smart he'd utilize the man that he replaced in his consultant role.
