I like the pick for Miami, he gives us another lights out shooter who can play the wing for us in the future. I think at 39 we should go for Taurean Green if he is still available.
Daequan Cook should be great for us, Im excited about that. But why didnt we get the point guard we need, Taureen Green with our second pick. In stead of some unknown foreign un-athletic guy who makes Michael Doleac look great!!!?
i want taurean! anyway, that obviously didnt happen. im happy with getting daequan, he should be a big help to us. much better than jason smith anyway, haha. i know that we traded satnko barac (sp?) to indiana for a 2009 second round pick. we also got two second rounders in '09 and cash from philly as part of the cook deal.
I guess since LA took Javaris we thought we could do better in free agency. I think we need a PG like Mo Williams who shoots the three very well.
Daequan Cook can be a solid player for us this year backing up Wade and getting some shots in. I saw the Press Conference today and Riley seems to love him and his pure stroke. I read in the paper today about Cook being uncoachable and being way too self confident.............praying thats not true. But thankfully the offeason has just begun, we got to adress our need for a PG.
I didn't see the logic in taking Cook when we have Wright already. I was actually hoping for us to keep Smith after we selected him. However, Cook's a very promising young swingman and showed signs of promise in OSU. Though, I had the same thoughts on Wright when we drafted him. And yeah, Green would of made sense, but I wasn't surprised that we didn't pick him. Our future = Wade, Wright, Cook, Simien, Barron
