We used the #54 2nd round draft pick purchased from Orlando to select 6'6" Australian Guard Brad Newley.

He scored 15 points against team USA last year, and he's a great shooter.

    Thoughts, opinions?

It would be a shock if either pick helps the Rockets in any way next year.

Being from Australia, I've seen him play on TV a few times, he has potential, I've been quite impressed with what I saw of him. He's not afraid to drive to the the rim and he has a decent jump shot too, with range out to the perimeter. Biggest problem is he is a bit undersized, probally needs to add another 10-20 pounds if he wants to go places in the NBA.

I dont expect much from him in the NBA though, but I hope he can prove me wrong.

weak as piss. the guy is pushed around even in Australia, which is saying something because our pro's over here are pretty weak as well. i dont think he will make the roster, send him back, or send him to d-league, he needs strength to be a decent player at best so i think its a bit of a wasted pick.
