I figured after the Italian guy was taken the Suns would get rid of at least one of the picks. Actually, I expected both to be traded away after ATL kept their pick. Nothing to expect from the Suns on draft day really, no matter how many good young players the Suns would get D'Antoni would still stick with a 7-8 man rotation to tire everyone out by the time the playoffs come. I like Tucker, though, and it's actually the first time in a while the Suns selected someone I wanted them too. Don't know where he fits in though since Diaw/Marion are ahead of him. Hopefully Diaw, KT, Banks will be gone somehow (just one would be nice but all three would be grand) but that's more wishful thinking than anything. We'll see if DJ stays with the team, I think he should he's a great defender and unselfish who would be a better suited backup than Banks (I think Barbosa is a better suited two in case anyone was wondering).

Here's what the roster looks like basically

    Nash/Banks/DJ
    Bell/Barbosa
    Marion/Diaw/Tucker
    Amare
    KT

Of course it's hard to do that with the Suns and their interchangeable parts (and of course I am forgetting a couple players) but that's just player by player of position they should be playing. I really hope some sort of trade or signing is in the works to get a center of some sort. Amare hates playing center, is a natural PF so he has to be accomodated somehow. Actually the more I think about what they should do the more confused I get of what is actually int eh realm of possibility. All I know is that if some/all of the guys I mentioned above (KT, Banks, Diaw) are still on the team when the season comes around then it will have been a pretty horrible off season.

First off D'Antoni likes to play small so KT, Amare, Marion, and Boris can all be interchanged for Center, PF and Forward.

We don't need to make many changes this offseason, I am glad we are keeping this nucleaus together. All we need to do is sign a veteran to come off the bench, that can score and be an option for Boris to pass to. If we sign Grant Hill I think he would fit in perfectly. If he came off the bench Boris could truly be a facilitator and a great backup to nash. These young rookies are extremely hard workers with great hustle, and can maybe give us a little defense at times, a couple minutes here and there.

If we make any trades we aren't really improving, all we are doing is just replacing our guys with guys that basically play the same. We have our talent now we just need to develop the bench a little more. I hope D'Antoni gives Banks another shot or we move him for a diff. pg that has a different look.

I agree nothing much as to be done. As much as it would be great to see a player like KG with the Suns I don't think the Suns need him to win a championship. They showed they can play a beat-em-up game with the Spurs and due to a bunch of extreme circumstances (though I hate excuses and not trying to make it sound like I"m using them) we still haven't fully seen what this team can do full strength in the playoffs.

People say this team has been together three years to get something done but they haven't. First year JJ was with the team, second year it was without JJ and Amare (injury), third year was the first year this team has actually gotten together through the season and I think this is the team that can win it all.
