Last year there were many big names (from the college level) that didn't get drafted, but this year everyone who i expected to get taken went. Only guy I can think of who I thought would be drafted but wasn't was Curtis Sumpter out of Villanova.

Lee Humphrey-Florida [IMG] It's not a surprise, but I'm trying not to be too greedy wanting 6 Gators drafted was I?

Mustafa Shakur entered the draft? Hmmmm, didn't even get picked in the second round. Sucks for him.

Shakur was a senior. He didn't get picked because he has the worst attitude a player can have and can't run a team to save his life. His mindset is completely wrong.

The biggest shocker to me is Kyle Visser. He's not that great of a rebounder or defender, but his post offense is better than that of most current back-up post players in the league right now (wow, reading that is a mouthful). He could probably log significant minutes and be a pretty good low-post scoring threat on a number of teams right off the bat. At 22, he's NBA ready too. He's improved more over his four years in college than just about any other senior in the draft this year.

Brandon Cotton is a player not many people realize was even in the draft, but either way, he went undrafted. To me, that's disappointing, but I'm probably the only one who feels that way.

Yeah I mentioned Visser in my first post. I saw him at a tournament here at USF and he was awesome. He dominated the tournament and Wake Forest relied heavily on him. He was scoring most of their points and they were a totally different team when he wasn't in the game. I thought he would be picked because some mock drafts had him going pretty high in the second round. Hopefully the guy gets a shot during the summer league and someone brings him in come preseason.

Wasn't he rumored to play for Italy or something?

My boy Derek Raivio went undrafted and I don't think he even got a summer league invite. He's a sharpshooter though.

Edit: He's on the Hawks summer league team.

Yeah, I believe he is going to be playing overseas. He was "on" the Washington Wizards summer league team, but rarely got off the bench more than just a couple minutes a game.

Trey Johnson is a scoring machine. Somebody should really pick him up. Cleveland, maybe? Get an SG who can actually score?

For the Visser supporters, he was absolutely offer in summer league. Could not finish for his life and seemed like he had 0 offensive game going aginast young NBA players.

One guy who wasn't drafted was Ron Lewis - OSU

anyone know where Boggan and Sumpter are right now?

i noticed half these guys are in NBA training camps, although there are a few i haven't heard about.

Watkins and Shakur are both at the Kings, looks like the Kings are trying to get an undrafted "steal". they could find one in Watkins, with their lack of shot-blockers and all.
