Curtis had a pretty good year for Villanova, coming back from a serious knee injury and putting up around 17 points a game. I'm assuming that the injury is what turned many teams away from Sumpter, but he is a solid player, and would be a welcome addition, I would think, to the 76ers as an undrafted rookie free agent. Opinions?

He's undersized for his position, but I would not mind taking a chance at him. From looking at his numbers he seems like he's great on the glass, which is what we need. I wouldn't mind signing him to a deal.

Just a side question about Sumpter:

Now that he`s done college and wasn`t drafted, does Curtis Sumpter just play in mini leagues until he gets a call from a team? How does it work for him finanically?

He will likely be signed to an undrafted rookie contract by some team, and participate in several summer leagues hoping to catch on with a NBA team. If that does not work out he would most likely be heading the NBDL.

As Blur demonstrated in another thread, the 76ers have a pretty deep roster quanity wise. I don't think the 76ers have much room to sign any undraftees.

Undersized yes but he plays like a 7-footer. Kind of reminds me of Kenny Thomas, also an undersized PF, but plays BIG. I would love Curtis to give us depth at the 4.
