<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Blazers plan to buy out Steve Francis, who wanted to be released by the Knicks. His departure is addition by subtraction. The failed Francis deal in February, 2006, was Isiah?s last trade. Francis has two years and $33 million left on his pact.</div>

-There you go! Use the MLE on Francis.

Pacers deal on the table. Let's face it. As much as we love and respect odom, he is too inconsistent and respects Kobe too much. Bynum will be entering his second season and he has yet to prove that he's the likes of Howard, Bosh, etc... Derron Williams averaged 31 pts in the playoffs for Utah. Gibson had a breakout game against Pistons. Accept the trade and get a guy who will demand the ball and give you 20 and 10 night in and out.

Kings are looking to dump Artest. Try and orchestrate a deal that would send Kwame and Cook to land Artest.

    Francis
    Bryant
    Artest
    O'neal
    Mihm

That lineup should appease Kobe untill 2009

Francis doesn't have much left in the tank. He considered retiring last year because of his injuries. I'm not sure he's the answer.

I'd rather split the MLE on two guys instead of spending it all on one player. Mitch has been a goof in every sense of the word when it comes to using the team's MLE. Not one player has worked out, so I'm not confident in his ability to use it properly.

Over paying for role players is the kiss of death in the current NBA.

I would love to get Artest from the Kings, because he would bring a level of toughness the Lakers desperately need.

    Garnett still possible

Lakers drafted two point guards another from Greece for the MLE.
Give Wolves a choice of Farmar/Crittendon, Odom, Bynum and Kwame + next years no. 1 for Garnett.
If that still doesn't work then go after Kidd. Bynum, Farmar, Kwame and Radman for Kidd. With Kidd and Kobe in place, Garnett opts out next year and joins them.

The Nets don't want Bynum anymore, and all the other players you just mentioned are garbage. Besides Farmar, they won't taken him because they already have Marcus Willams.

They reported the Papa (the Greek guard) hasn't officially been given an offer.

I do feel something is on the horizon since the Lakers drafted Crittenton. Doesn't make much sense to develop Farmar and Crittenton at the same time.

Gasol and Yue are likely staying overseas for a year or two.

We should keep Gasol if we end up trading Krummy and Bynum but if they ask for him in a trade like for Artest,JO and Garnett trade him.But I'm not sure about Francis this guy is gets injured like every year.

If Marcus Williams is that good, then why wouldn't they want to trade Kidd for a 19 year old potential star big man and young back up point guard that fits in to a rebuilding team. The Lakers want Kidd because with Kobe they want to win now. New Jersey isn't getting anywhere with the team they have.

I don't think there is a trade on the horizon, Shape. The organization is too stupid to realize that they drafted 3 PG's in two years. I mean holy hell, one day our starting L is going to be: Farmar, Crittenton, Yue, Gasol, Bynum.

New Jersey isn't rebuilding based on them likely to resigning Carter to a big deal. They feel like they can compete and are actively shopping Jefferson for a big man. Kidd/VC/big man/Krystic is a pretty good if they stay healthy.

I would love the idea of Francis playing in L.A. for the MLE. I'm a big fan of his, always will be. He was a cool guy, and he almost always gave it his all every game. The only problem is whether or not he'd honestly fit in the triange.

I'm sure Phil would be able to do wonders for him.

Because we don't want your garbage? Is that simple enough to understand?

You are probably the only person to want Francis on the Lakers.

Why would the Magic miss Francis??? The guy was a whiny little bitch who only hurt Dwight's development. We just got Shard now and with Dwight, we look to be going uphill. Jameer Nelson is pretty good. Who was your PG again?? Smush Parker?? Enough said.[IMG]
