After failing to get Garnett or O'Neal, it remains to be seen what the Lakers have in mind next.

They can reportedly have O'Neal for Andrew Bynum and Lamar Odom but, to date, have decided that's too much.</div>

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Of course, the off-season has just started, the Lakers hope.

"It looks like there's going to be a lot of activity," said Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak.

"I doubt there'll be a flurry of activity the next week or two. You have the whole summer to sort it out. It could actually go into next season.

"I wouldn't say in the next week there's going to be four or five big-name players exchanging teams, but maybe by the time training camp rolls around and the season starts, you'll see some substantial and significant movement in the league."

For the Lakers, whatever happens will be significant.</div>

^^LOL but come on give them up. In my opinion give up Odom & Bynum. Or you can also give up the draft picks from last night.

I was just in the Nets forum and they might offer Willams, Kristic, and Jefferson for Oneal. Thats way to much, but ya, we should not give up Odom and Bynum for Oneal. If we can keep Odom and get JO. It would be as good as getting KG.

Odom and Bynum is still to much we should give up some of our guys we drafted like Gasol and Sun if there interested in but we need JO since KG will not come.

LO and Bynum too much for JO

Check out JO's stats last year-not any better than LO. LO and Bynum with his potential is too much for JO. Bynum in a package for Kidd or Garnett yes. If Kobe wants to play for a winner then he needs to work with Bynum and turn him into the big man he needs, the way Jordan made his teammates better.

After listening to all these interviews with Kupchak, it seems as if Bynum is also somewhat untouchable and it would take something significant to trade him.

Somewhat? I think it's very obvious that this organization is building for the future and that Bynum is 100% untouchable. I don't know how you don't get Charlotte involved on a three way trade talk with Minnesota when they publicly came out and said they'd love to be that third team, it's f'ing ridiculous. We're building for the future...but there is a problem with that. Our future blows. You want a good future, look at Portland. Once the Spurs are done dominating things, Portland is going to take over.

Yeah, we need to trade Kobe we before he opts out and get young talent theres no point in keeping him if were rebuilding.I'm mad we didn't get the Bobcats involve it's just stupid and ridiculous.

Oneal plays defense. Lamar wasn't so hot at it..... I'd trade Odom or Bynum for JO. Just not both.
